I'm escorted out of the Underground by the Survey Corp. All of the stolen weapons are stored in boxes that a couple scouts have to carry.
I don't see Dad anywhere.
"Your father escaped before any one of us could catch him," the commander, Erwin Smith, tells me.
I smirk and cross my arms. "And yet you call yourself soldiers."
"Oi, brat, don't say snarky stuff like that unless you want my boot up your ass," the captain, Levi Ackerman, threatens.
"He's going to come for me, you know. When he does, you better hope he'll give you mercy," I say.
The rest of the way there is accompanied by silence. The emotionless bastard has been staring at me. Or, more specifically, my (h/l) hair.
I feel a tight pain in my lower abdomen, and I clench my stomach.
Not now.
I forgot about the thing called periods that every woman goes through. My uterus seems to think this is the perfect time to release hell on me.
"What's going on?" Erwin asks.
I don't respond, praying that the cramps are just a false alarm.
A woman with short, black hair is standing at the entrance next to some guy. His brown hair is pulled back into a bun and his turquoise eyes are noticeable from ten feet away.
"One escaped?!" the man shouts.
"Yes, but we intend on having him captured soon," the commander says.
"You talk as if we're some wild animals on the loose!" I snap.
"I thought I told you to shut your mouth," Levi says, setting on of his hands on top of my head roughly.
I snarl and push his hand away.
"All the cadets are in their rooms," the girl tells Erwin.
"Good." He turns to me. "(Y/n), get settled in tonight, for, tomorrow, you'll be training alongside the 106 cadets."
With that, he leaves me surrounded by trained soldiers. I scan the area past them, plotting for an escape.
Something grabs my hair and yanks on it.
"Don't even think about it. Your room is right next to mine, so if you attempt to leave, my hand will be around your throat before you could even take a step." The captain stares at me with cold eyes.
A shiver runs up my spine but I play it off.
"Kinky. What's next? Throwing me on the bed and fucking me until I can't walk?"
"Tch." He releases his grip on my hair. "Be ready by four in the morning, cadet."
. . .
I wake up in with death-like pain. I fidget uncomfortably as a warm liquid flows between my legs and soaks into my white pants.
"Cadet, you're late!" the shorty's voice booms.
I cover myself up in the light blanket, hiding the massive blood stain on the sheet, facing away from him. I put my warm arm over the bare skin on my stomach, praying that it will be enough to numb the pain.
"Oi! Shithead. Did you hear me?" He sets one of his hands on my head roughly. "You're late. It's nearly noon."
I bite my lip, holding back the upcoming vomit.
"Ignoring me now? I expected better from you. Get up now!"
I place a hand over my mouth, my breathing becoming short and heavy. Levi's hand moves to my back, a much more gentle touch lays there.
"Brat, what's wrong?"
His face appears in the corner of my vision, just enough to make me spill my guts out all over the bed.
The pain settles down the more I puke.
Levi just covers his nose and mouth with his hand and looks away until I finish.
My face turns red in embarrassment. The spot that I'm in no longer satisfies me so I move towards the cooler corner of the mattress.
The asshole's steel eyes travel to the bright red splotch next to me and he suddenly is aware of the situation.
He exits my room without saying anything, not even bothering to close the door behind himself.
"Asshat," I mumble.
A feminine scream echoes through the hall, becoming louder and louder. A woman with brunette hair skids into my room. Big brown eyes are shone behind glasses.
She inspects me closely.
The short captain leans against the wall of the door frame.
"Four eyes, you can run tests on her another day. Just give her the medicine and leave."
"Medicine?" I mumble.
The woman peels her eyes off my intimate parts and takes out a white bottle filled with my relief. I reach for it automatically.
"You can only take two," the woman explains. "They're very strong, so they should start working almost instantly." I pop the pills into my mouth and swallow quickly. "When you need them again, Levi will be carrying the container. He's better at telling the kind of pain a person is in. Don't want you overdosing now."
She hands the medicine to Levi, adding, "I'm Zoē Hange, by the way. Pleasure to meet someone who's name is highly talked about."
