I'm so sorry, y'all. I haven't uploaded a new chapter since September! I've been so busy lately and have recently fallen sick with a very bad fever. I'm trying my best to keep up with releasing new chapters.
Watching Levi train is something that I never thought would be so hot. I can see every muscle flex under his shirt as sweat beads form at the top of his head.
Leaving him to do something dangerous - something that could possibly get me killed - just increases my already rapid heartbeat. Fuck man it was just my birthday and now I have to prepare for my death.
I fidget with the necklace while thinking of my escape plan.
Too deep in thought, I don't pay attention to what is happening. The loud slam of a door shutting is what brings me back to reality. There's an empty feeling in my hand from where I'm assuming someone was holding it.
"Mind telling me what's got you so distracted from training?" Levi asks, his face close to mine.
I'm still trying to comprehend how I got in this closet.
My fiance snaps his fingers, once again bringing my focus back to the present.
"You're scatterbrained, I can tell."
"It's hard for anyone to pay attention when you have your shirt sticking to your chest," I retort.
I seem to have peaked his interest because his eyebrow twitches upward slightly.
"Tch," is all Levi says before I kiss him.
The closet seems to be getting warmer as the seconds go by. My feet stumble back and I bump into the supplies stored there. Everything gets knocked over and creates a massive clanking sound. Levi holds me by my waist with one strong hand, the other is holding onto the wooden rack above our heads.
"Clumsy brat," he whispers.
Muffled voices come from outside the room, cutting our time short.
I open the door slightly while Levi hides in the shadows of the dark closet. A few younger cadets glance at me confused.
"Just cleaning," I lie, "You know how the captain gets when things are messy."
Levi suddenly slams the door shut. He doesn't wait a second more. He unbuttons his pants, a mixed look of pain and need on his face.
I've never seen him this desperate before, and honestly it's kind of a turn on.
"You talk too much," Levi murmurs.
. . .
I slow my horse to a stop by pulling on the reigns.
Eren is standing with all of his blind followers behind him.
"Let me guess," he starts as I climb off my ride, "this forest has tons of trees clumped together, preventing me from transforming."
"Well aren't you smart," I say sarcastically.
"Following one of your cadets here was very dangerous. Do you not care for your safety?"
"Find a better hiding spot then."
I yank the necklace off, breaking the long, thin metal, and hold it out in front of my body. Eren looks at it skeptically, confused.
I sigh heavily. "There's a letter. Something about a Rumbling-"
I've got his attention now.
He takes one step forward but Floch stops him by getting in his path.
"Are you an idiot? It's obviously a trap. I bet a bomb is planted in it," Floch says.
"Look at it," I cut in, "Does it look like a fucking bomb?"
The ugly haired imbecile opens his mouth but Eren interrupts him.
"You question me?"
"No, absolutely not. I question her though." I roll my eyes at his sudden change of heart.
Eren steps around him and stares down at my small form. I'm an ant compared to him.
His intimidating gaze almost makes me change my mind. Almost makes me want to give him the actual note. But, remembering what this bastard had done, I can't cave in now.
I drop the necklace in his hand, permanently sealing my plan.
I've dug my grave. There's no turning back.
I get back on my horse swiftly, leaning forward as it takes off sprinting.
I dare myself to look back.
I'm left with the image of bright, red blood dripping down Eren's hand.
