"Let's go, (Y/n)!" Mikasa calls, holding Eren in her arms.
My eyes don't move from the built creature in front of me; the Armored Titan. It's jaw is knocked out from Eren's punch. The golden eyes stare back with a menacing glare.
Levi bonks me on the head with his fist before attaching his hooks on the passing aircraft, holding one of the titan formers by his blonde hair. I turn away from the titan, doing the same as the captain.
"Shoot anyone that's left alive!" Jean yells.
Gunshots fill my ears as we take down the remaining civilians. Armin helps me inside the flying machine, taking other's hands after mine.
Mostly everyone made it out alive.
"Woooo!" Connie shouts, grabbing Jean and Sasha. "We made it!"
Everyone screams for our victory, hugging, bumping, and high-fiving each other. Sasha then grabs me and smiles.
"We did it, (Y/n)-" blood spits out of her mouth. The ringing of a gunshot lingers as Sasha collapses to the ground. We all stare in disbelief. Tears instantly stream out of my eyes.
I turn to the little girl that fired the bullet. Multiple soldiers lunge at her, beating her, and the boy next to her, to a pulp. Jean and Connie hover over Sasha's body. Jean puts pressure on the wound, but the blood won't stop.
Connie hurriedly opens the door where the commanding officers are talking with whoever else is in there.
"Come on, Sasha," Jean pleads, "Keep breathing."
Sasha's best friend comes back with Mikasa and Armin. We all surround our dying cadet.
Her fingers touch my hand. It takes all the strength I have left in me to look at those brown eyes.
"Meat," she utters, the life slipping away from her orbs.
Jean checks her pulse thousands of times.
My teeth clench together, my heart sinking faster than lightning.
With all the air in my lungs I scream. "SASHAAA!"
I was expecting Levi to rush out and comfort me when he heard my cry, but he stays put in the other room. I continue to weep over the loss of my new friend.
Overwhelmed with emotions, I spring onto the girl that killed Sasha. Everyone tries to hold me down but I manage to slip away from their grasp.
"It's not fair," I mutter while bashing her face in with my fists. I only get to throw a couple more punches before I'm manhandled off her by Levi Ackerman. I make animalistic sounds, acting like a crazed, homeless girl looking for food.
My nails meet skin and I scratch and claw. Suddenly, a palm meets my cheek, leaving a stinging sensation throughout my entire face.
"What the hell has gotten into you?" Levi asks strictly.
I don't have time to answer before I'm set on my feet and dragged by my hair. Levi closes the door to the back room and gives me a look of disappointment. Blood runs down his hand and I realize that was my own fault.
Falling to my knees I cry again. This time Levi does come to my rescue and embraces me. He rubs my head, letting my tears stain his uniform.
My body won't accept what my mind already knows:
Sasha's really gone. Death took her away from all of us.
