Kai's POV

Two weeks had passed since the attack on the other bass. Everybody who lived there had been moved back to the school until it had been fixed and they could move back in. Poppy and Sam was still here, and Scarlett hadn't uttered a word since I got back. Lilly was buried in the back garden last week. Poppy was slowly healing, and Sam broke the news to her the day after we got back. She cried, Sam cried, Scarlett cried in the comfort of her own bed, but she never spoke to anyone, not even Alison, not Sam or Poppy. No one.

We were all starting to worry about her as she hadn't eaten a proper meal since she got back. She had an apple every other day but that was it. She was slowly falling into hole misery and darkness with no way out.

I gathered everybody in the living room to talk about her.

"Guys this is serious. She's falling down again, and I don't know what we can do this time."

"This has happened before?" Zoie questioned.

"Yeah, when her sister died, she fell into a really bad state. I took us months to make her feel better and even then, it still took her another year for her to feel like her normal self again."

"I knew her sister died but I didn't know she did this." Daphne spoke.

"How exactly do you know Scarlett?" Harmony asked, facing Poppy and Samuel.

"We were in school together. We ran away from school together and then helped train the younger kids when we were brought back. Didn't she tell you?" Sam said.

"We were also in her first dorm together. She then got split up from us when she moved to your dorm and then we were but in different basses, but we still stayed connected. Didn't she tell you who she was meting up with when she left here sometimes?"

"We just thought she was meting up with a secret girlfriend or something."

"Well, you're not wrong there. She and Lilly were dating. They had been since they were 12."

"Oh."

"She didn't tell you?"

"No."

With Scarlett

In her head

I could hear them talking about me, I could hear them talking about Lilly, my relationship with her. My sister. Mt life before I met them. Everything. And it hurt. It hurt so bad. Everybody who I loved always died or got hurt and there was no point me caring about anyone because I always ended up hurting them. I got up and pulled on the last hoodie I had from Lilly and went downstairs.

Kai's POV

I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and Scarlett's head appeared in the doorway with a new hoodie I've never seen before.

"It's Lilly's hoodie and you might want to talk quieter if you're talking about me. I can hear you." And after that Scarlett disappeared into the kitchen then walked back upstairs.

"So, she'll talk but not very much." Mel stated.

Sam turned to Poppy "So, are we doing this the hard way or the easy way?"

"What are you on about?" I asked.

"We've dealt with this before. Scarlett has to send her off. We can get her back to her normal self in like a week."

"You sure?"

"Yeah. Come Pop, let's go get our girl back." And with that, Sam and Poppy disappeared up the stairs to Scarlett's room.

With Scarlett

I could hear them coming up the stairs. I knew their plan. It won't work. Not this time. The door opened and I refused to look at them.

"Scarlett, I know this is though and I know you loved her, but Life goes on, with our without Lilly." Poppy's voice said.

"Go away Poppy. I don't want to hear it. Not today, not ever."

"Scarlett, I know you don't want to hear it but life outside that window is moving on and you did the exact same thing when your sister died. So, you're going to get out of bed, put on your best clothes and we're going to the river and sending her away the same way we did with your sister. Got it." Sam said.

"I'm not going."

"Yes, you are." And with that Sam and Poppy had ripped away my duvet and pulling me out of bed.

"I don't want to go."

"But you're going anyway. And that's the end of it." And Sam and Poppy pushed me into the bathroom and wouldn't let me out until they new I had showered and got ready.

"You can open the door now."

Sam and Poppy got of the door and opened it.

"Ready to go?" Poppy asked.

"Have you got the flowers?" I questioned her.

"Yes, now let's go." Sam said.

And with that, we all walked out the door and out the house.
