Sitting on the counter, Elizabeth started to undo the bandages.

"How bad does it hurt"

"Like I got my throat cut."

Once all the bandaging was off she grabbed a wash cloth and wet it then started to clean up the wound.

"Be still." She spoke.

We sat there in silence while I watched her clean up my neck carefully. Her face scrunched in concentration and she wrapped the new bandage around my neck.

Once she finished that we locked eyes.

We sat there for a while just looking at each other until there was a knock at my door breaking the connection.

"Stay here." I whispered before getting off the counter and putting on a hoodie which covered my neck and opening the door.

Elizabeth's POV

I didn't know what just happened, but I liked it. A lot. I didn't want to but I did.

Scarlett's POV

Once Alison had left after asking me if I was sure I was okay over this side of the castle with only Elizabeth she said goodnight and left. I walked back into the bathroom to see Elizabeth cleaning up and throwing away all the rubbish and cleaning the sink from the blood that fell in there.

"You don't have to do that."

"I know but I feel like in need too."

"Just go to bed. I'll clean it up tomorrow."

"No. It's fine. I caused it so I'll clean it up."

"Elizabeth. Stop. Please. Just go to bed."

"No."

I sighed.

"Fine. You know where the door is. I'm going to sleep." And with that I walked off.

Elizabeth's POV

After I finished cleaning, I walked out of the bathroom and walked past Scarlett's bed to hear her crying in her sleep. I quickly walked to the side of her bed and gentle tried to wake her up.

"Scarlett. Wake up." I said but then she started mumbling something.

"No! My friend is in there. Let me go! Lizzie!"

So she was dreaming about me. I had to wake her up.

"Scarlett, wake up."

She sat up with a bolt sending me to the floor.

She looked around and saw me on the floor and quickly wiped her tears away.

"Don't bother. I already saw you crying in your sleep." I said, standing up.

Without saying anything she walked to the bathroom and I followed her.

She was leaning over the sink taking in deep breaths.

"Are you okay?"

"I'm fine. Why aren't you in your own room?"

"I was going there but they you were crying."

"Did I say anything stupid?"

"No. Just my name. And 'No! My friend is in there! Let me go! Lizzie!' Nothing else."

A single tear fell down her face.

"What were you dreaming about?"

"That day. The day I got taken back to my school." She whispered; barley able to hear her.

"Oh."

It was silent again.
