"Everybody, Hide! Now!" I yelled when smoke started rising from the cluster of trees by us.
And that's when everything went wrong.
The three sets of twins when out of the back door to get our weapons while the rest of us try and locate the source of the sound.
"Poppy, Sam, get back to the school. The passageway we used to get out, there's someone on guard there. Tell them you're with the attacked bass and get in and stay there until I text you."
"Scarlett, you need our help!" Sam said.
"Poppy's hurt and can't fight so you need to go with her to protect her. Understood? Now go!"
"Fine. Good luck." And with that, Sam and Poppy had left.
I ran upstairs to get the weapons I collected from my last fight and ran back downstairs to meet up with everybody else.
"Where did you get those?!"
"Took them from my last fight. Now I'll head out to find what caused the smoke. I'll be safe and I'll try and come back alive. If people get in, then call me and I'll come back. And don't die."
"Got it. And be safe. Please."
"I will." Then I left, not knowing if I would come back the same night, or the same person.
I walked across the road while making sure my daggers were strapped to me properly and the guns were loaded. I made sure the scabbard that had the freshly sharped sword in was tightened and then I walked into the woods, towards the smoke pillaring upwards.
I hid behind a rather large tree trunk when I heard voices.
Voices I knew too well.
Voices for my past I never thought I'd hear again.
He was back.
