When the sun rose, so did I. It streamed through the thin curtains and lit up my room.

"This place needs to be cleaned and renovated."

I got changed into some simple clothes and walked out of my room and to the ballroom which smelt of bleach.

"Miss?"

"Yes?"

"The ballroom has been cleaned and Marcos has been buried at the bottom of the garden. Michael is in a coffin ready for the funeral."

"Okay. This whole place will need to be renovated and cleaned so can you get the architects down here please. We'll hold the funeral soon."

"Yes Miss." She walked off and I sighed.

I wandered around the place for a while meeting all the staff members and making mental notes on what needs to be changed and renovated in this place.

Once I made it back to the ballroom the architects were there, and we started planning the new and improved manor.

After my friends came downstairs and I introduced them to all the staff we spend the rest of the morning planning the renovations and Michael's funeral.

"Could you please send these out?"

"Yes Miss." And she walked off with the letters without another word.

"Right. So we've planned Michael's funeral and planned all the renovations. When do we start the renovations?"

"After Michael's funeral. Once everybody's gone home, then we can start. Is that okay?"

"Yep. Although we could start with the bedrooms now as no one will be in them."

"Okay. Start with the bedrooms now. We won't do anything tomorrow because of Michael's funeral and then we continue the day after. Understood?"

"Yes."

A staff member walked over; I think her name was Jade.

"Miss, I just needed to check with you that you understood everything that you have gained since Marcos' passing."

"Okay."

"So you've gained the manor, all of the garden, his money and everything else he owned."

"Okay. Thank you, Jade?"

She smiled. "Yeah."

"Jade, do you think you could get the staff to wear name tags for a bit so could learn everybody's names please?"

"Sure, Astoria."

"It's Scarlett, Scarlett-Rose Black."

"Sorry. I'll make sure everybody knows that."

"Thanks Jade."

With a smile she walked off.

The day flew by quickly and we all headed to bed, dreading the day that came next.

As the light from the sun shone through the curtains, I noticed an outfit had been laid out for the funeral for me. I put it on and walked downstairs.

"Everyone will be here shortly Scarlett."

"Thank you."

As my friends joined me by the door, people started walking through the door, Michael's family. I offered my condolences to them and went back to the rest of the people who knew him.

After everybody had arrived the service started and to say the least lots of tears were shed. The service finished people talked about Michael. I was glad he was remembered with such happy thoughts.

This went of for a while before people started heading home.

I was lucky I hadn't let my emotions get to me today. I couldn't do that in front of his family and friends.

Once I got into my room, I changed into my pjs and only when I lay down in bed did, I let the tears spill as I fell asleep.
