Shock.

That's all it was. Just shock running through my head.

Then Elizabeth pulled away.

"Sorry. I shouldn't have done that. You just wouldn't shut up and I didn't know what else to do." She walked away from me and started pacing up and down the hallway muttering and repeating the same words. 'I'm an idiot' and 'I shouldn't of done that' and 'I've fucked up so much'.

"You kissed me?" It wasn't processing in my mind.

She wouldn't stop pacing and it was getting really annoying.

"Stop it!"

She looked up and me in shock. A face that mimicked mine only seconds ago.

"Stop muttering things. Stop pacing up and down the hallway. Just stop. Sit of the floor against the wall. Please." I spoke with authority and lucky she obliged.

"Thank you." I felt my neck where the dagger had been only minutes ago.

"That doesn't look good." Elizabeth piped up.

"Well duh. A dagger was held to my throat and I pushed it into my neck. Of course it won't look good." As I finished speaking, I became light-headed and almost fell to the ground but Elizabeth stopped my colliding with the ground.

"Where's the medical wing?" She asked, worry weaved into her throat.

"Not there. I'll get asked questions and then you will be sent to jail."

"I deserve to go to jail for what I did Scarlett."

"We're not going to argue right now. Can you sort this out first? There's a bathroom down the hall to the right with a medical kit inside."

"Yeah okay." And with that she picked me up and carried to the room.

She opened the door and placed my on the counter next to the sink and found the first-aid kit and started cleaning the blood of me."

"There's blood on your shirt." I stated, pointing weakly at her pure white shirt which was now specked in my pure red blood.

"Don't waste your energy. Be quiet and relax. Just keep your eyes open okay."

"I'll try."

"Again. I'm sorry for kissing you. I know you hate me and I know you don't-"

"Shut up." I said, closer to a whisper then my actual voice."

"Sorry." She said in a quiet voice.

After she had cleared of all the blood off from around my neck, she left the cloth in the sink and grabbed something from the first-aid kit.

"I'm going to have to clean this before I bandage it up. It might hurt."

"I can take it. It'll be fine."

"Don't say I didn't warn you." And she placed the cloth on my neck.

I hissed in pain and she chuckled under her breath.

"Told you." She said with a smirk.

"Shut up." I replied with a slight smile on my face.

She continued cleaning the wound until it was all clear then placed a bandage all around my neck.

"What now? Because that's visible as the sun and your friends will definitely question it."

"I'll change my dress and then I'll end the dance. You can stay in my room until everybody left. Then you can tell my friends what happened. Understood?"

"Yes. Right, where's your room."

"The other side of this place."

"Well, that will be fun."

"Yep." I tried to get down from the counter but almost tripped. Again, lucky Elizabeth caught me.

"You want any help getting there? Or are you going to fall over and cawl there?"

"I'm not dying."

"No but you did lose a lot of blood so your weak."

"Don't call me weak. Ever."

"Sorry. But put your arm around my shoulders and I'll help you there."

I put my arm around her shoulder reluctantly let her help me to my room.
