Chapter 41

A knock at the door broke us apart.

I smiled. "Always interrupted at the good parts, stay here." I spoke s I walked to the door.

I opened it to find Astrid there,

"Hi Scarlett, just came to make sure your okay. We know Elizabeth came up here, but I didn't know if she came round to check on you."

"Astrid, I'm fine. She left not long before you came. I'm fine. You can go and tell the rest of them to stop worrying." I said with a smile.

"Okay. Bye Scarlett." She turned around and went to walk of before saying, "Bye Elizabeth." And continued walking.

I closed the door, shocked about what just happened when I heard Lizzie laughing by the doorway.

"Lizzie, stop laughing!"

"Nah, I'm good."

"Fine then. No more kisses." I said, opening the door again.

"You wouldn't."

"Catch me first, then we can talk." And I ran out of the room.

I heard her running after me, but I always kept a few steps in front of her. We ran all around the place laughing and joking before she caught me around the waist in the kitchen, in front of everyone. Our smiles faded as they all looked at us. We stood upright facing them.

"I knew it! You all owe me £10 each." Harmony said standing up.

"You bet on my love life?"

"Could you of not waited a few more days?"

"Sush Kai. You bet on my love life?"

"Yes, you kept sneaking off, so we just guessed."

"It was going to happen eventually, my love." Lizzie said from next to me.

"Oh, shut up Liz." I spoke. "I can't believe you all bet on my love life. Out of everything that's happened to me. My live life, which has a terrible track record you decided to bet on that? You could off easily bet on the next physical fight I would have won. And Harm, if it was that simple, you should have raised the money a lot more." I said before walking off with a smile on my face and Lizzie behind me.

Outside

"So, I believe I was casing you for something. And I believe I won." Lizzie murmured into my ear.

I smiled, "So eager Lizzie. So eager." And continued walking.

"Hey, don't walk away from me." She said as she walked after me.

"What you going to do?" I asked.

"This." She backed me up into a wall and kissed me. I kissed back. I was in complete bliss until someone dumped a bucket of water on us. I laughed and looked up. I looked at Elizabeth and she was mirroring my smile and then we ran after Mel and Alyson.
