STARS HAVE HEARD MORE SECRETS THAN ANY PAIR OF HUMAN EARS. They are trusted with our troubles and are the guards of all our fears. Perhaps we share with them our sorrows, for they too have known the night. Yet they have learnt to let the darkness emphasize their light.

Enola and Stefan were holding a secret that even the stars were unaware of. It would inevitably be the death of them. But they had both agreed not to mention the cure for vampirism until they were absolutely certain that it existed. They didn't want to give anyone a false sense of hope. Though it was far too late for them. They had hope of finding the cure because hope meant new beginnings and that is what they needed more than anything. But they needed a few things to succeed. Like the hunter who had the map.

"How the hell did Conner escape?"

Enola stood in the room where Conner was once held captive alongside Stefan. They had searched every inch of the mansion and the only trace he had left behind was a headless hybrid. They still had not recovered the head which could only mean that he still had it. This was not good for any of them considering what he had done last time with werewolf venom. That and he was probably pissed.

"I blame mind-numbing incompetence but pointing fingers isn't gonna help me," Klaus spoke from the other side of the phone. "You two are going to help me."

"Why are you involving me in your shenanigans?" Enola groaned.

"He could be anywhere by now," Stefan continued.

"He took the hybrids head, which means he wants werewolf toxin, which also means he plans to stay in Mystic Falls to kill vampires." Enola pointed out.

"That is why I am involving you in my shenanigans. You are obviously the brains, little monster." Klaus decided. "Seeing as I am half way across the world digging up a dead hunter, Stefan will need someone as smart and cunning as you by his side."

"Not to mention that we will have no access to your blood and therefore the antidote to said werewolf toxin," Enola continued.

"Nevertheless, his tattoo is our only map to the cure so your tasks are quite simple." Klaus hummed. "Find him, catch him, and above all, keep him alive. He is no good to us dead."

"Damon has been looking everywhere for him," Stefan informed. "If they cross paths . . . "

"You need to keep Damon in check," Klaus said in annoyance.
