PEOPLE DO NOT FALL IN LOVE WITH GIRLS LIKE HER. Girls like her turn your beautiful laugh into a disastrous piece of poetry you will hear whispers of until you are on your deathbed. Girls like her break every word you speak into fine metaphors and repeat them in their heads until it makes absolutely no sense. Girls like her try to weave your touch into sheer blankets that keep them warm at night and wipe their tears on nights after you inevitably leave. Girls like her always dreamed of world domination. Never romance.

"It was their mother Esther who was sealed in that coffin," Elena informed.

While Enola had spent a majority of the evening plotting, Bonnie was able to crack the coffin open and Damon had unleashed the rest of the daggered Originals. Rebekah had unsurprisingly went after Elena—who had spent the night at the hospital after Alaric had gotten attacked by the serial killer making their rounds in Mystic Falls at the moment—and Elijah had come to the rescue with hope of a truce.

"As in the original witch?" Stefan frowned.

"What? How is she even alive?" Damon wondered. "I thought her hybrid freakshow of a son ripped her heart out a thousand years ago."

"I don't know. I'm guessing she has a couple connections in the witching community." Elena shrugged. "Elijah said that she wants to live in peace with her family, including Klaus."

"She was supposed to be the weapon to help us kill Klaus," Stefan scoffed in disbelief.

"Yeah, well, not anymore." Elena sighed. "At least not according to Elijah."

"That coffin was the only thing stopping Klaus from tearing us to shreds," Stefan huffed in frustration.

"Anyone else feeling a little used right now?" Damon hummed.

"Look, Elijah promised me that his family wouldn't hurt any of us." Elena announced. "I believe him."

"Then I don't know why we are all still here," Enola huffed.

The doorbell rang and in a last ditch effort to get out of this conversation, Enola rushed to answer it. She had been dragged out of bed early this morning to plot against the originals. She didn't see why it mattered anymore. With the original witch in town, a truce was surely on the horizon. She just didn't think the truce would come in the form of a delicately crafted box and a letter addressing the Gilbert family. She closed the door behind her, turning to face the three who had followed her in curiosity.
