JEREMY GILBERT HAS BEEN ACTING STRANGE. After Vicki died, Jeremy should have been a blubbering mess. Especially after Sheriff Forbes called them down to the police station for questioning that morning. Instead he held his head high and said that Vicki had told him she was leaving town. The lie was so believable, Enola almost thought it to be true.

Enola had tried bringing it up to Elena who brushed it off with a rather guilty look. Something was going on and she was determined to get to the bottom of it. Though she had no idea where to start. It was almost as if it didn't happen. She wished that were the case, but the memory was enough to keep her up at night. The screaming, the crying, the dying. She had put a bandaid on a bullet hole when her parents died and now it was hanging on by a thread. Death and carnage seemed to surround them.

"You're wallowing," Jenna sighed.

The older woman plopped down on the couch between her favorite set of twins. Elena had her knees pulled to her chest with a distant look on her face as Enola took her time to sketch it. For it was not every day Elena Gilbert sat sulking.

"You're sulking," Elena corrected.

"You're both sulking." Enola stated.

"My wallow is legitimate. I was dumped." Jenna sighed dramatically.

"Yeah, well, Logan is a jerk." Elena deadpanned.

"You didn't get a brush off email saying I'm leaving town see ya." Jenna muttered.

"Screw him," Enola shrugged before looking to her sister. "And screw Stefan for whatever he did this time."

"Wanna keep it down over there?" Jeremy called out from his spot seated at the kitchen island.

"Why? What are you doing?" Jenna frowned.

"Homework." Jeremy said.

Jenna, Elena, and Enola stopped what they were doing to look at the boy. Something was definitely wrong. Jeremy Gilbert doing homework? They must be in some sort of alternate reality. He didn't do homework. He didn't do much of anything beside smoke weed and sleep.

"Since when do you do homework?" Elena questioned.

"I gotta finish this. I'm way behind and I have a quiz tomorrow." Jeremy answered, keeping his eyes trained on the piece of paper in front of him.
