"nami, what are you doing?"
kakashi stood beside the building, his back against the concrete wall and his porn books out.

"kakashi-sensei, i've dropped out of the exam."
nami approached the taller man and hugged his waist. kakashi hugged her back, though he was hesitant to do so.
"i came this far for the team. i have no desire to pass."

"we should go back inside and watch your comrades fight."
kakashi let go of her and looked her the girl's hand to hold, but she stood still. something was bothering her.

"kashi-sensei, sasuke is in danger."
nami squeezed kakashi's hand tightly, making the older man slightly worry. his eyes began to scan the blonde as if he were to look for something, but he couldn't find anything odd about her.

the older man kneeled down and looked into the girl's eyes.
they were shining, brighter than ever.
"nami, what happened?"

"that snake bastard hurt him, orochimaru..."
nami gritted her teeth and formed her hands into a first. she felt like punching something, but didn't as she didn't want to damage her surroundings.

"nami-"

"orochimaru gave sasuke a curse mark."
she stated. kakashi's only visible eye widened and he sighed.

"i understand. i'll deal with him as soon as he finishes his exam. let's go inside for now."

the grey haired man held the blonde's hand firmly in his own as the two walked inside the building once again. as soon as they stepped foot onto the arena, a jonin stopped the two.

"nami, i'm afraid you must leave the arena."
he said loudly, making all faces turn.

"she's with me."
kakashi said quickly.

"i may no longer be participating in this exam, but i want to see my teammates beat everyone's asses, especially my bestie. besides, i've got to catch up with others as we wait."

"alright, go ahead."

the two climbed up and stood on the balcony. nami had a great view of the arena, but all she could do was worry about sasuke. he was in immense pain, but he wasn't the type to admit defeat that easily. she just hoped he wasn't first.

the display showed the names of the first two fighters, and the first one up was none other than sasuke uchiha.

sasuke's body rested on a hospital bed. tubes and wires were everywhere and a constant beeping sound was the only thing keeping nami awake, who was the one that kept him under watch.

"sasuke..." she sighed.

a cool breeze passed her face, lifting her head slightly. she enjoyed the cool wind on hot days, but something felt off.
the window was left closed, so why was there wind?

the namikaze looked behind her to see kakashi with a kunai behind her. she could only smirk at the shinobi's foolishness.

"whoever you are, if you want to fight then show yourself. don't dress us my own sensei to fool me, because that wouldn't fool such an elite ninja like me."

"that's what i'd expect from the fourth's daughter."
the person said.

nami took her kunai and prepared for an attack. she knew it wasn't wise for her to do so, but the man was pissing her off and she was aware that they weren't kakashi.

"leave the fourth's name out of this." the girl launched at the man with full power. rage and hatred that was hidden deep inside of her was summoned after hearing the fourth's name.

a familiar grey haired jonin flew into the room breaking the two apart and making the other man disappear. he had fled the scene after sensing the anger inside both kakashi and nami.

"nami..." kakashi's jaw was stiff and anger was sensed inside of him. he held the female in his arms in a protective manner. kakashi looked around the area quickly. it was clear that the man was gone. after all, no one would want to fight kakashi when he was angry.

"kakashi, let me go. i'm gonna fight him-" nami tried to break free from kakashi's grasp, but failed. his strong arms kept her in place and prevented her from doing something stupid, like leaving the leaf or get injured in a fight.

"no. if you fight him, i'll report you to the hokage and take away your hidden leaf headband." kakashi said as a threat. "just forget it."

the blonde seemed to relax slightly. she looked at kakashi, making complete eye contact with him. "how did naruto go?"

"he won his match against kiba. he's going to the next match that will be happening in a month." kakashi said quietly.

"who else passed?"

"shikamaru, shino, neji, temari, kankuro and gaara."

"sakura didn't pass?"

"no, unfortunately she did not."

kakashi placed his hand on nami's back and began to slowly push her outside of the room. "doctors will come to see sasuke's conditions soon. they asked for the room to cleared."

"he's going to be ok, right?"

"yea, sasuke's going to be just fine...
