she's back

nami opened her eyes and looked around her.
she had been knocked out after accidentally activating her shikatsugan and began absorbing the chakra of everyone around her. she was tiring her teammates out to a point where they might've lost their lives and she was close to absorbing kurama's chakra, which could never be a good thing.

nami was in kakashi's arms once again.
she wasn't in terrible conditions, mainly because she didn't participate in any fighting, but she looked terrible. naruto had once again hit her head a little big too hard.

"kashi-sensei..."
the girl said in her quiet voice, but kakashi shushed her immediately.
a meter away was the still body of uchiha sasuke.

kakashi of go of the girl and nami began to crawl to sasuke.
she didn't know any medical ninjutsu, and sasuke looked dead anyways.
the girl placed her soft hand on sasuke's cheek and rubbed his soft skin with her thumb.
the girl raised her hand and immediately slammed it down, landing a hard slap on sasuke's face.

sasuke's eyes began to slowly open.
"what was that for?"
he asked nami, his face showing no emotions.

"you better not die before accomplishing your goal, uchiha."
she said, but her voice hinted that it was more of a warn, or a threat.

"tch."

then, a certain pinkette threw herself at the boy.
sakura was crying, tears were wetting her entire face.
"sasuke-kun, i thought i lost you!"
she cried, but sasuke seemed disinterested in the pinkette.
instead, he looked at the blondes.

naruto had his arms over nami in a brotherly hug.
the girl had a wide smile over her face.
and for once, it was a real smile.

"hurry, we're packing up soon. the bridge is finally done."
kakashi said as he pointed over to the finished bridge.
the uzumaki bridge.

the 4 genins began preparing their bags and told tazuna their goodbyes.
the young ones couldn't wait to return to the lead.
all except nami.

"kakashi, do i have to come?"
nami asked, her voice slightly breaking.
kakashi placed a hand on her shoulder and nodded.

and so, team 7 began their journey back to the leaf.

"kakashi-sensei, is it weird i liked zabuza?"
naruto asked kakashi, but kakashi simply shook his head.

"no, naruto. i likes them too."

the 5 stood in front of the gates.
they walked in together, though nami felt out of place.
she looked around and noticed the faces of disgusted villagers.
those faces weren't for her.
they were for naruto.

"nami-san!"
a smoll boy with brown hair approached the namikaze, forcing her stop. he held a small bag with what seemed to contain some food.
"my kaa-san asked me to give these to you. she said it's for saving the leaf. please take them."

nami looked down at the boy, hatred starting to fill her eyes.
nami didn't understand herself why she hated this so much, but she just did. the blonde shook her head and pointed to naruto, who was standing right beside her.
"the one who deserves such rewards is naruto."

"but my mother says he's a monster!"
the little boy said, louder than before. naruto looked at the two; his eyes began to shine.

"the only monster here is your mother."
nami yanked the bag out of the boy's arms and handed it to naruto. she grabbed his arm and walked away with him. sakura, sasuke and kakashi followed the two.

the young boy looked at nami who seemed to be getting smaller and smaller as she walked away. a hurt expression covered his face.

"i'll be reporting what happened to the hokage. nami, take naruto home. take the rest of the day off."
kakashi said and disappeared in a cloud of thick smoke.

nami took naruto's hand and walked off in the direction of his household. she needed some alone time to still think about what had happened with the shikatsugan, but naruto came first.

as the two walked silently, loud noises came from the people on the streets. there were cheers for nami, but boos for naruto.
it made her sick.

"nami-san, your father wouldn't like it if you talked to that freak!"
a random civilian said to her face, angering nami even more.

"don't talk about my father like you know who he is,"
nami said as she squeezed naruto's hand. with her free hand, she punched the man's stomach. she watched as he fell to the ground in pain. it made her want to smile.
"and don't call your future hokage a freak."

wow, i did a normal update!
ok so, i wanna say happy halloween even though it's tomorrow.

what are you doing for halloween?

oh and, it's a bit rushed but we get some more action soon with other teams. and gaara's coming too :)

i'm making sakura less obsessed with sasuke btw.
she's going to be playing a bigger role soon, and that's being one of nami's best friends.
