"nami, i'm afraid i can't do anything regarding naruto's living conditions. it's best if you just go home."
hiruzen said, his head looking down.

"bullshit!"
the namikaze yelled and ran out the office faster than she ever ran before. she headed for one place, the village gate.

she ran and ran, rushing right through the gate without a care in the world. she didn't know if the hokage had given up on her yet. she didn't know if he was going to send someone after her again, but she didn't care. nami just ran.

her eyes changed as she activated her dojutsu and a change was immediately seen. the female's speed had increased, making her nearly invisible as she skipped through the trees in odd patterns, though she stopped after about 30 minutes of running.

the girl climbed down the tree and leaned against it. she was out of breath, but that wasn't why she stopped. she could feel someone near her, but she didn't have a clue of who it was.

"who's there?"
she called out, and rustling of leaves followed her voice.

"wowie! she's pretty!"
a high pitched voice said from behind a bush. the voice sounded childish, not a threat but nami knew better.

the girl de activated her shikatsugan and pulled out a kunai. her "enemy" would've most likely have seen her shikatsugan by now, but she'd only use it if she really needed it.
"come out. now."

from behind the tree, a tall man stepped out. he wore an orange mask and. for some odd reason, she relaxed.
"nami-chan, isn't it!"

"how do you know my name?"
the girl asked the man.

"you're the nami! how could someone not know you?"

"eh?"

"you're his son, after all!"
the man started getting closer and closer to the girl, but he didn't seem to be a threat for now.

"wait... who are you?

"hehe, i'm tobi, but you can call me tobi!"
the childish man said. the blonde wasn't sure if he was armed. she pointed at him with her kunai and squinted her eyes. she could see no weapons on him and the man clearly had no place to hide them. nami dropped her kunai and got closer to the man. nami placed her hand on his arm.

"why aren't you home? it's dark out."

"tobi doesn't have a home!"
the masked man said, but he then realized it came out wrong.

"you don't..? maybe you could come to the hidden leaf. the hokage is sort of an asshole when it comes to living areas but he could find you a place."

"it's ok, nami-chan! tobi is alright!"
tobi said. he plopped his body onto the floor and sat crisscrossed. nami copied him and sat in front of him. the girl was not aware she was sitting in front of the man that caused the death of her parents.

"tobi likes nami-chan!"
the man said after taking in nami's facial features. he could perfectly remember his former teacher just by looking at her.

"nami likes tobi-kun, too!"
the girl said with a smile on her face, but it soon faded as she felt strong chakra heading their way.

tobi quickly stood to his feet and swiftly picked nami up and pushed her behind him.
nami was comfused to why tobi, who was a complete stranger, began protecting her.
she poked her head out and saw a silver haired man run their way with a kunai in his hand.

"kakashi-sensei..."
nami whispered. tobi tensed up as he heard the name.

kakashi stood still, ready to attack meanwhile tobi seemed somewhat calm.
small sparks of electricity began flying out of kakashi's hand.

"nami, step away and come to me."
kakashi said loudly, seeming more like a threat.

"but nami-chan like tobi more!"
tobi said and gave nami a large hug.

kakashi ran towards tobi at full speed with a kunai in his hand, ready to stab the man for getting close to nami. tobi swiftly snatched a kunai from nami and clashed against kakashi. the two began clashing back and forth until nami grew sick of the two fighting for no reason.

"enough!"
nami yelled and instantly activated her shikatsugan.
she began collecting chakra from the two and used it to her advantage.

nami ran between the two and grabbed them by their wrists. she used the fact that they were mid air to her advantage and threw them both different directions.
"enough fighting."

"nami, you're coming back to the leaf with me this instant."
kakashi said. he gripped onto nami's wrist and lifted her up so that her feet were no longer touching the ground.

"leave me alone, sensei!"
nami said as she struggled to get away from his grip.
it was no used.

"it's ok, nami-chan!"
tobi's childish voice called out.
"tobi will see you very soon!"

and with that, the man disappeared.

kakashi placed nami onto his back and headed back to the leaf at full speed.
he could feel nami growing weaker as she deactivated her shikatsugan.

the two arrived to the leaf without sharing a single word.
the two passed by nami's house, but didn't stop. kakashi just kept going.

"kakashi-sensei, where are we going?"
nami asked. her voice was quieter than usual as if she were holding back tears.

"my house. hokage's orders."
he simply said. nami understood to stay quiet in some moments.
she let her head fall onto kakashi's shoulder and she let her tears out.
she was thinking about the orange lollipop from earlier. she had an odd feeling about him.
nami didn't lift up her face until she felt kakashi stop walking.

"welcome home, nami."
