the end

team 7 was in danger.

nami could not move.

part of her wanted to look for naruto, who ended up getting lost somewhere, meanwhile the other part of her told her to help sakura and sasuke who were fighting orochimaru.

nami had heard of him since he used to belong to the akatsuki. she had done some research on the akatsuki, but never found much as the hokage wanted her to stay away from them.

orochimaru kept getting closer and closer to the uchiha, but nami needed to stop him. she ran as fast as he could in his direction as she activated her shikatsugan.

orochimaru could feel his chakra slowly being sucked up, as well as everyone around her.

"orochimaru, step away from sasuke!"
nami warned the older man, but he kept approaching him, eventually biting his neck and making sasuke fall, groaning in pain.

"the legendary shikatsugan, i see."
orochimaru turned to look at the female, but she felt weak.
nami knew the was strong enough to pull a battle with him, but she couldn't do it.
the more her shikatsugan was activated, the more energy it sucked out of her.
the first few times she used the eye, she felt unstoppable and it seemed to have no side affects, but now it's completely different.

"don't touch her! i'll give you the scroll, but leave!"

"sasuke! you're an idiot!"
nami yelled at him, but her eyes kept falling on orochimaru.

suddenly, nami felt a powerful chakra force coming her way.
it was naruto, but something felt different.

"ah, the nine tailed boy."
orochimaru said. the snake man grabbed the boy and looked at him carefully.
orochimaru extended his arm out and grabbed the scroll that sasuke was clutching in his hand and stole it, then burned it.

"nami, i'll come back for you. all i want right now is sasuke."
orochimaru dropped naruto and began walking away.
"that eye of yours isn't going to last very long."

a day passed from the incident with orochimaru and the female had all of strength back, but sasuke seemed more tired than ever. he was in pain, and nami felt like she was the one to blame.
the uzumaki was laying near sasuke. he was tired and also needed plenty of rest and sakura was watching over the two.

"hey, sakura..."

"yea?"

"i'll be back soon..."

"alright, nami."

the namikaze ran as fast as she could. she could feel an enemy around them, so she hurried to find them. she was able to spot them, but according to her calculations, she didn't need to fight. the female extended her arm and stepped as closely as she could to them, each step being as quiet at she could possibly make it. she female was able to snatch the scroll and she ran right back to sakura, where the pinkette was waiting.

"sakura, catch."
nami tossed the scroll to the girl and sighed.

"nami, what's wrong?"
sakura sat closely beside nami as if she were trying to comfort her.
it wasn't working.

"i absolutely hate the chunin exams."
the blonde sighed and estes her head on sakura's shoulder.
of course, sakura did not mind at all.

"then how come you joined?"

"well, if i didn't join in then the team couldn't participate. i know naruto and sasuke would've been mad if i didn't go, so i forced myself to."

"couldn't kakashi-sensei have figured something out?"

"probably, but i don't want to bother him. i'm not going to ask anything from him."

"we"re going to get through it, and you're going to become the next chunin!"

"alright!"

"nami has forfeited to fight!"
the fight proctor yelled out.

out of all of the teams that passed the second part of the exam, few have decided to drop out of the exam, and nami was one to do so.

the namikaze smiled proudly and laughed, walking out of the building.

"i don't need a stupid vest to show my skill. i only did this for my team."

idk what this is but i wanted to put an end to the exam cuz i loved this naruto arc but i hate writing fight scenes. omg ahhhhhhh y'all, give me some ideas.

ima make nami and kakashi have some nice time together and i've started 2 more fan fics i don't even know why lmao

due to this ass ending, i won't be going on an hiatus just yet. i mean, sort of.

next chapter may come out next week idk yet
