"itachi,"
pain called out
"how do you plan on getting the nine tailed girl here?"

itachi sat in pain's office as the man still wanted answers.

itachi didn't look up, but he smiled.
"don't get confused, pain. the namikaze doesn't have the nine tails in her."

"you told me that she would be important, didn't you?"

"nami has always hated the leaf ever since i met her, even though she has no actual reason for such hatred. the girl has always been ahead than other children her age, making her perfect for the akatsuki. nami was also close to my best friend shisui and i. there's no doubt she'll come to me as soon as she has the chance."

pain still wasn't convinced.
"what does she have that we need?"

"the shikatsugan,"
itachi replied.
"the shikatsugan is a mixture of the 3 great dojutsu. it has the abilities of the sharingan, rinnegan and byakugan, but to a lower level. the shikatsugan itself also has more abilities on its own, and if she ends up trusting the leaf then we'll me in a lot of trouble."

"i'm guessing it's because of the uzumaki."

"correct. if she gets too close to anyone from the leaf in general, she might turn us away."

pain looked up at itachi and itachi did the same, but the two didn't dare to make eye contact
"how do you plan to get her and when. i already said i wanted her within 7 months form now."

"i've done my research."
itachi announced. he stood up and walked around the room for a bit.
"the chunin exams are about to begin, and they're being hosted in the leaf. they take around 1 and a half months to finish and nami will last to the very end, no doubt. she'll get stronger by participating to the chunin exams and then kisame and i will swing by the leaf to pick her up. our excuse will be that we're there for naruto."

"i'll get zetsu to keep an eye on her during the exams. i wouldn't want her to get killed."
pain said under his breath as he began writing down in his frog notepad, which was a gift from his sensei and konan.

"there's no need. nami has the ability to heal herself, like the first hokage. she can even regrow limbs. nami would make the akatsuki much more powerful."

"i have a plan"

pain gathered all of the akatsuki in their shared living area. it wasn't long that they started living together, and it was all a secret. the akatsuki base was large. it had 10 bedrooms, of which most were shared and a large kitchen. there was a large dining room and pain's office, of course. along was a living room and another shared space that used to chill in. on the large L shaped couch sat itachi, konan, kakuzu, and sasori. behind them stood hidan, kisame, zetsu meanwhile tobi and deidara sat on the floor. in front of them stood pain with a small stack of papers in his hands,

"as you may all have heard, we are soon going to be getting a new member. her name is namikaze nami and she is currently living in the hidden leaf. she is young and in need of training, which is why i made a plan. zetsu, keep an eye on her while she's training outside. the girl is young and she may have weird ideas."

pain looked at everyone around the room, his eyes first landed on hidan and kakuzu.
"hidan and kakuzu, you're going to help her move in battle after being injured. nami can heal her injuries at rapid speed, but i want you to help her. she has not mastered anything yet."

pain's eyes then moved onto deidara and sasori.
"deidara, you're going to help nami with her speed. she must learn how to move quickly, and you're going to teach her. sasori, you're going to help her with poison related objects, preferably weapons that you use."

"konan, gain her trust. you two will be the only females in the hideout. act like a mother figure to her and teach her to adapt to her surroundings."

pain's eyes then moved to tobi.
"tobi, get nami to get close to you. i have a feeling she'll start liking you. stay with her as much as you can, especially during battle."

"tobi likes nami already!"
the masked man announced, only to be ignored.

pain's eyes then moved to the last two members.
"kisame, teach nami how to use her chakra wisely. itachi, you have the most important job of all. teach her how to use the shikatsugan."
