"nami-chan!"
naruto exclaimed as he approached the girl.

team 7 had finished plenty of missions for the day and they were going back to the hokage to report them. little did they know, this was going to change their entire lives.

"naruto, calm down!"
nami said as she stroked the hair of the cat she was holding in her arms.
"you're going to wake her up!"

naruto smiled after seeing a smile appear on nami's face, as if there was a bond between them.
sasuke approached the two and took the cat out of nami's arms, slightly irking naruto off.
the cat laid peacefully in sasuke's arms, unlike how it laid in naruto's.

"hey, nami?"
naruto asked the girl who walked beside him.
the two were way ahead than the rest.

"yes, naruto?"
nami looked at the blonde beside him. her hair was lighter than his in a way and her eyes were lighter as well.

"i've never really seen you around before now. where are you from?"
naruto looked at the girl and slightly smiled.

"i descended upon your earth from the skies, from a wonderful land known as the seven seas of rhye!"
nami exclaimed. naruto looked at her quite confused. he still ended up cracking a laugh.

"you don't have parents, do you?"
naruto said, his usual smile fading off his face.
nami shook her head but then swung her arm over naruto's shoulder and pulled him close to her.

"all i need is a good friend,"
nami let go of naruto and watched as he kept walking forward, as of naruto didn't feel the weight off his shoulder fall off. sakura and sasuke passed in front of nami, yet the girl still had her eyes locked on naruto's body. she felt a hand on her shoulder.

"nami, are you ok?"
kakashi asked in a soft voice.

"sensei, who are my parents?"

kakashi looked down at her and locked eyes with her, well his only eye.
"very important people, which is why we can't lose you."

team 7 stood in the hokage's office, ready to receive a new mission.

"cmon gramps, we want a higher rank mission!"
nami and naruto exclaimed. the two blondes definitely needed a challenge. they've been arguing for over 30 minutes by now, yet they didn't receive any hint of a harder mission.

"fine, i'll give you a harder mission."
the hokage announced. naruto and nami immediately began celebrating, but both were then picked up by their collars by kakashi.
"i will assign team 7 an escort mission to the land of waves. your task is to bring tazuna safely to the land of waves and stay with him until he finished his bridge. tazuna is a bridge builder. this should take you no longer than two weeks."

right then and there, an old man that reeked of sake entered the room. he was obviously trunk.

"tazuna, this is the team that will escort you down to the land of waves."
hiruzen exclaimed to the man.

a shocked expression covered the man's face.
"these little twerps are going to be the ones escorting me?"

"i'll be coming along. i'm an elite jonin, so there's nothing to worry about, tazuna-san."
kakashi explained to the tazuna, slightly calming him down.

"team 7, you're all going to be leaving in an hour. hurry and meet at the gate. you mustn't depart with any delay."

and as that, team 7 exited the room and they all headed their own ways to pack for the long trip.

"kakashi,"
hiruzen called out before kakashi could move.
"be careful with nami and naruto. we can't let the twins get injured. nami, she has half of the key to naruto's seal."

"understood, hokage-sama."
kakashi said with a nod.

"even though, i'm sure minato left her with something much stronger."

"what do you mean?"
kakashi asked, slightly out of curiosity.

"the namikaze clan has a powerful kekkei genkai which always skips a few generations and nami or naruto would be the ones to get it. it's quite unknown and it comes with all different abilities."

"how come there's barely any information on it?"

"all of those who were born with this eye were immediately killed after unlocking it. some say it has a power higher than the rinnegan, but there's no evidence."

"i see."

"it can happen that a child can be born with the ability to only use one eye instead of both. that can happen whenever and it has nothing to do with generations, but i'm sure that either naruto or nami has this eye.
kakashi, don't let them unlock it."

short chapter

so, this eye
i wanted nami to possess the jōgan like boruto, but i'm throwing out the idea, even though it will be very similar.
the eye will be op, but there will be character development in this so she's not gonna be too op at first.
the eye will basically be an advanced version of the jōgan
the namikaze clan thing was a lie, but eh
i know that nami did previously have 2 tailed beasts in her but i ain't doing that anymore :)
i'll still be keeping some characters such as jiraiya and most likely itachi and neji

i'll be trying to update oftne but school is killing me
