The next day, you woke up on something fluffy, you thought it was just your pillow so you continued to stay there until you quickly remembered yesterday and opened your eyes to see Revali also fast asleep, leaning on a small pillow that was sat up against his desk. Your head was resting on his chest. Your heart began racing rapidly once you noticed this and you quickly got up from your position, you later on realised that you were wearing his beige scarf and your face grew even more redder. You shook your head and took the scarf off, wrapping it back around the Rito's small neck. It was still quite early so you had time to make breakfast. You got on your feet and brushed the dust off you before making your way down the ladder and walking slowly towards Rito stable, your feet digging into the snow. You avoided the monsters roaming as best as you can.

You eventually made it to the stable safely, you were almost out of breath considering you literally ran from two bokoblins in the snow. You went to get your horse and fed him his morning apple. Once he ate it you led him away before mounting him and running back to the flight range. When you arrived Revali was still asleep.. 'Must've stayed up late watching me..' you thought before grabbing two apples out of the small bag and putting them on a stick. You crouched down near the fire and roasted the apples. Revali was beginning to wake up while you were doing this. You noticed and smiled at his cute tired face. "Good morning." You sat down in a more comfortable position, still waiting for your apple to cook. Revali rubbed his eyes before looking at the baked apple you handed him, "What is this...?" He stared at it and sniffed it.

"It's a baked apple. Have you ever had one before? If not then just try it." You were a bit confused on how he didn't know what a baked apple was but you didn't pay much attention to it. Revali took a bite of it with his sharp beak, staying quiet while he ate it. You then took a bite of yours. When you both finished Revali wanted to teach you how to use a bow and arrow. You obviously accepted since it's always good to learn new things, plus maybe it might even save your life. You both went out to a nearby forest area which, thankfully, Revali helped take out the monsters which blocked the path. You waited a bit until he finished putting up the targets. "How do I even...?" You looked down at the bow with a normal arrow connected. You were struggling on how you would shoot it.

Revali helped you aim it correctly but the first few shots seemed to have failed. In the first shot, you barely got the arrow away from you. The second try, you accidentally hit a fox which you were sad about, "OH MY—!" You lowered the bow and looked at Revali and back to the fox. "Let's ignore what happened..." Revali turned you to look away from the fox. And the third try, you didn't hit the target but you did hit the tree.

You whined and dropped the bow, "This is no use... I can't use a bow!" You were getting frustrated. Revali picked up his bow and handed it to you again, "Once more." He insisted and you inhaled deeply before taking the bow again and positioning yourself. You were about to shoot again until you felt Revali's chest against your back. He put his feathered fingers on yours so that he was also holding the bow with you. You were frozen on the spot as you felt his breathing hit the back of your neck, his hands touching yours. Out of nowhere, you shot the arrow, hitting the middle of the target perfectly. Revali smiled as you had child-like behaviour all of a sudden, "Oh my goodness! Revali, I did it! I hit the center!" You jumped up and down with joy.

"Yes... I was wondering what you like to do for fun, Y/N." As soon as he said this your face lit up more and more. He flew back to the village with you on his back and you led him towards the kitchen. "What are we doing in here?" He questioned.

"This should work." You took the pot lid from the shelf and looked back at Revali, "You'll see.. Now then, can we go to the top of the mountains?" You held the 'shield' tightly and hopped back onto his back after he let you on again. You flew to the top of the Hebra Mountains and once you landed, you quickly dropped the shield onto the ground and stood on it. "Uh.. Are you sure this is safe?" Revali looked down at the steep hill before back at you. You liked the fact that he was concerned for your safety but apart from that you simply just nodded, "Yes. I want to see if you can keep up with me!" After saying that you immediately began shield surfing down the snow, Revali then got the idea and quickly flew after you. "Haha! Wow! It's been a while since I last did this!" You laughed as you made a sharp turn around the edge. Halfway down you heard a loud rumble, which made you fall off your shield.

"What in the..-" You looked up and and saw a Stone Talus, forming up from the ground. You began to panic and quickly crawled backwards on your palms in shock. Revali seemed to have lost you since you did go quite fast after that turn. The talus saw you and slowly made its way towards you. It came closer each time you moved backwards. You saw it raise it's large rock 'hand', aiming at you. A flash of three bomb arrows hit the darker yet smaller rock above its head causing it to fall over. Revali landed infront of you, his bow on his back. He picked you up all of a sudden and placed you on his back, "Let's go!" He used his updraft and flew away just before the stone talus could get up. He didn't seem to be in the mood to fight right now.

While you were making your way back to the flight range you held onto him tightly. It was quiet the whole way back. You felt like you needed to apologise but the words couldn't come out properly until after you left the sky. He landed and put you back on the ground near the fire, "Revali, I'm sorry.." You looked up at him with glassy eyes. "I wasn't aware of that thing being in the way..." He noticed you were going to cry and he tried to think about how to calm you down but without thinking twice he pulled you into a hug. "Don't be sorry. Im the one who didn't warn you about all the monsters in Hebra..." He rubbed his feathery hand up and down your back as you cried into his scarf. You were very sensitive even as a child. You never really got in a fight with any monsters but to make someone else save you from them just made you feel like a failure and how you just can't do anything to help.

Revali sat you down near the fire, still hugging you. His calming words and his gentle strokes through your hair seemed to have calmed you down.
