Chapter 10 || Jealousy

You sat yourself down on Revali's landing, waiting to see him fly back down here so you can give him the crown and maybe also tell him off for being rude to your friend. Time went by slowly. You were about to get up and grab a snack from the shop until you finally saw Revali's figure come flying down. "Oh, hello Y/N! I haven't seen you since yesterday... I was quite busy trying to get the hang of that Divine Beast up there." He looked up at it before turning back to you, his gaze drifting off to the (F/C) flower behind your ear, "Hm? What is that?" He pointed a feathery finger to the flower.

"Hm? Oh this? It's a flower I got from a..-" You paused for a moment, "Wait... Why are you asking exactly?" He gulped, trying to think of an excuse.

"Uh..- because... it looks pretty!" He smiled awkwardly, this surprised you. "Huh? You like this?! Well then here you go!" You smiled as you placed the flower crown upon his head. He froze on the spot before quietly thanking you, "Thank you, Y/N... Would you like to visit Vah Medoh? I must say the view is admirable, especially during sunset." He changed the subject quite smoothly but you didn't seem to mind that much. You climbed on his back and he used his gale to be able to reach the Divine Beast. You only just took notice of the new scarf he was wearing. It was the bright blue colour, like the tunic link wore. Once he landed, you jumped off his back and stared at the view ahead, your mouth half open in awe. Revali stood beside you and chuckled at your face. Sadly, he wasn't wearing the flower crown anymore since he put it somewhere safe in one of the rooms of the Beast.

"Like the view?" He asked, finding your little reactions to everything adorable. You were speechless. You suddenly remembered what you wanted to ask Revali so you turned your head to him and said it, "Revali... Why don't you like my friend, Link?" You rested your hands near your chest as you waited for his reply. He seemed like he didn't want to answer but he did so anyway, "Hm... He is... like the others." You were confused until he started to explain it more. "The others were basically born with their unique abilities... Mipha's healing, Daruk has a shield that can block anything, Urbosa's lightning ability and the princess' goddess power.. Then, there he is... the so-called chosen one. I am afraid he will over-shine me once we're all gone.." his voice was much calmer now. You felt bad but was hesitating to do something so you listened to more. "They were born into their abilities... Yet I had to work hard just to get this far... My path required plenty of blood, sweat and tears just to be up to their level. This is why I've been speaking down towards him all this time... maybe even all of them." You knew this was upsetting him a bit so without hesitation you jumped on him and hugged him tightly, almost making him fall backwards but he caught you and himself quickly.

"Poor you." You held onto him tightly, his feathers tickling your nose a bit and large wing slowly wrapping around you as well.

(sorry for quite a short chapter. i am very tired rn because i may or may not have been thinking over this fictional bird man for the past hour now. man i really do need help- is this healthy?.
