As soon as AJ walked into the office that Monday morning, she knew she was in for a treat. Biting back a smile when she noticed Kitty and Mercedes waiting for her at the front desk, she decided to just act normal, walking up to her chair and placing her bag down as she sat.

"Morning, girls." She greeted, laughing when Kitty scoffed.

"Morning, girls my ass." She hissed at her friend as AJ just laughed. "You left that potluck Friday without me!"

"Most importantly... You left with Sam!" Mercedes added.

"He just gave me a ride." AJ shrugged as the two other women just sent her a look.

"More like you gave him a ride." Kitty rolled her eyes as AJ gasped, hitting her on the arm. "Tell me I'm wrong."

"Look, I wasn't feeling great, so Sam offered to give me a ride because everyone was enjoying their time with their significant others." AJ said.

"Right." Mercedes smirked, clearly unconvinced. "And he took you where?"

"My house." Sam had announced as soon as he pushed open the door to his apartment for AJ. "It's not much, but it's home."

AJ smiled sweetly at him, mumbling an excuse me before stepping inside and taking a second to look around. Sam was right. It wasn't big or as fancy as his office and, somehow, it screamed Sam Evans more than his fake-leather couches in the company ever did.

"Here, give me your coat." Sam said, extending a hand out to AJ. "Do you want to take off your shoes?"

"Are you trying to undress me already?" AJ teased, while taking off her coat. Sam laughed as he grabbed it from her to hang it by the door. "Not even a glass of water or anything?"

"Do you want a glass of water?" He asked.

"Yes, please."

"Okay." Sam nodded then, walking around AJ and toward his small kitchen, grabbing a glass from his cupboard. "Cold?"

"Sure."

Sam nodded then, pulling a bottle from his fridge and filling the cup up to the half before offering it to AJ, who took it from him before taking a sip.

"Your house looks very cozy." AJ commented, looking away from Sam for a second to look around the living room instead. "Did you decorate it yourself?"

"No." Sam shook his head with a laugh. "No, Blaine did it for me."

"Really?"

"Yeah. I lived in a small apartment before landing a job in New Directions. It was only a bed, a bathroom, and a small kitchen. I didn't even have a couch." Sam explained. "It was what I could afford with the job I had before. And it wasn't as if I cared much. I really don't need much to be happy."

"That's a really nice thing to say." AJ said. "But honestly, I feel like everyone deserves a couch in their house."

"Oh, so you're fancy-fancy huh?" He smirked as AJ rolled her eyes.

"Because I like having a couch?" She raised an eyebrow at him as he shrugged with a playful smile. "Well, excuse me, Mr. Mini-Fridge."

"Will you let that go?" He groaned in fake annoyance as AJ laughed.

"Never." She smirked back at him. "So... Are you showing me your mini-fridge in your bedroom, or what?"

"Why?" Sam smirked. "You want to see my bedroom?"
