"Babe, you ready?" Sam called from the living room as he sat on the sofa looking down at his cellphone in his hands, assuring Mike that him and AJ would be picking them in a few minutes. "We need to go!"
"Don't rush me." She called back, in a playful warning as Sam smiled. "I'm coming."
And so, she came out of their bedroom. Sam lifted his eyes at her, then, smiling a bit at the sight of her, standing there with her red hair down in loose waves and a white dress that showed off her now very visible six-month-bump. Her green eyes shined in excitement for what was about to happen, only highlighted by the light make-up she had put on and when she smiled at him with her bold red lips showing him two black heels in her hands, Sam raised an eyebrow at her.
"Can you help me buckle my shoes?" She asked a little bashfully causing Sam to nod and stand up from the couch, inviting her to the sofa instead.
"You look amazing, you know?" He asked, as AJ rolled her eyes, letting Sam lift one of her feet in his lap as he sat in front of her.
"And you are a great liar." She said, as he scoffed.
"I'm not lying." He insisted. "You look incredible."
"Sure." AJ relented, just allowing Sam to put on her shoes for her before standing up and extending a hand out to help her up to her feet then. "Your eye is still kind of purple."
Sam smiled down at the woman in front of him as she reached a hand up to, very carefully, run a hand over Sam's bruise that he had gotten from his fight with Schuester almost two weeks before and that AJ still felt somewhat responsible for.
She only didn't blame herself anymore because, for some miracle, Sam was still working there. Sure, him and Schuester made a point not to cross paths with each other anymore, but Sam was still working, so that was good.
"How bad does it look?" He asked then, his eyes still glued to AJ as she smirked a bit up at him.
"It's kinda hot, actually." She admitted as Sam smiled. "Does it still hurt?"
"I'm fine, babe."
"Sam..."
"I am." Sam insisted, grabbing her purse from AJ as he walked with her toward the door so they could go to their car. "Now, let's go because Mike and Tina are ready for us to pick them up."

The whole group was reunited in that same karaoke they had gone to a few weeks before. After all, it was one of Brittany's favorite places to be and they were all reunited because of her.
"Are we sure she doesn't know anything?" AJ asked, as she sat in between Quinn and Kitty, watching as Santana and Mercedes singing a duet of River Deep, Mountain High as the icons that they were as the two blondes shook their heads.
"No." Quinn assured, taking a sip of her drink while keeping her eyes glued to her girlfriend as Mercedes sang her verses almost exclusively to her. "Not a clue, as far as I'm concerned."
"Britt might be a mathematical genius, but she's a bit clueless when it comes to anything else." Kitty nodded, before turning to AJ with a small smile. "But, anyway, how are you feeling?"
"Yeah. You're what? Six months along now?" Quinn asked, turning fully to the woman beside her now that Mercedes was done with her song. "How are you?"
"Fine." AJ smiled with a small shrug of her shoulders. "It's a bit uncomfortable, but I'm going."
"Does it hurt?" Kitty asked, leaning closer to AJ as Quinn let go of their little conversation when Mercedes walked back toward their table to receive her congratulatory kiss from her girl. "When the baby kicks... Does it hurt?"
