Chapter 29: So how's it been

Sam's pov

So after my X- ray i learned that im going to need a cast for my leg and i have to have crutches.

I thought it would have been worse but i guess the whole week i was out, they got stuff fixed.

All my friends walked in and sat around my bed. "So guys how has school been?" I asked them then they all looked happy except Ellie.

"Relationship checks, go" i said then Ellie went first. "Kyle moved away..." 

"Sorry to hear that Ellie." I said then she shrugged.

"Nothing." Maribel and Alice said at the same time. I nodded then Annemarie went last. I looked at her and she smiled.

"What happened?!" I yelled looking at her.

"Matty and i might,possibly... have a thing going." She said then my jaw dropped open.

"Omg! Annemarie!" I hugged her and said "That's great!"

"Visiting hours are now over." We all heard through the speaker.

We all frowned as the girls go up. "Bye guys." I said then one by one they hugged me and said bye.

Annemarie's pov

After we walked out i saw Matty running in. "Sorry Matt, visiting hours are over." I said then he sighed.

As we walked Matty wrapped his arm around me and asked if she was ok then i told him about how she will have a cast and crutches. He nodded and said "It could have been worse"

Over the week of Sam's injury Matty and i have done some bonding. We talked a lot and now we are kinda more than friends but we aren't a thing.

It reminds me a lot like Sam and Collin. We are going through the same thing. Yesterday Sam remembered who Matty and Collin were so there wont be a mix up anymore.

But the sad part is that she doesn't remember anything of there relationship making Collin all depressed. The doctor said it all might be back in a while so we just have to wait.

My thoughts we interrupted by Matty asking me a question. "When is Sam getting out?"

  "Tomorrow." I said looking down at the ground while walking.

"Annemarie?"

"Yeah?" I said looking up at him. "I like you"he said looking at me. "What about Sa-"

"I lost that battle and i don't really like her as much as i like you." He said cutting me off.

"But im not losing the battle with you.." he said. "There is no battle with me Matty!" I said laughing. "Your ruining it!" Matty said laughing with his British accent that I loved.

"Matty i like you too" i blurted out. He stopped laughing and looked surprised. "Really?"

  "Yeah.." then in one quick movement i felt him kiss me but quickly pull away.

"Im sorry i shouldn't have done that, i should have asked you like the gentlemen im suppose to be and-" i cut him off by kissing him again.

"Just stop." I said after we pulled away. He smiled and said "Annemarie will you be my girlfriend?" He asked me with his British accent. I nodded and hugged him.

He wrapped his arms around my waist and i wrapped my arms around his neck. After we finally made it to my house he walked me up to my door.

I turned around and he said "well aren't you gonna introduce me to you family?"

"Really so soon i mean i don't rea-"

"Ann, I was kidding" he said laughing.

I playfully slapped his arm and then he said "See you tomorrow with Sam finally back... girlfriend?" I smiled and nodded. The i hugged him and we said our byes.

I walked into my house. Only my sister was home because my parents were both a work. "Ooo Annemarie has a boyfriend!" My older sister said coming out of no where.

"Shut up." I said walking into my room and laying down. Wow i really do have a boyfriend now.
