Chapter 40: Finally out

Jocelyn's pov

Today was the day I finally get to see Cameron since he went to jail. I'm excited for our date and happy he's going to school with me. Although we don't have the exact same classes but some of them.

I was in second period Spanish talking with my best friend Angel when the door opened and in walked Cameron. "Hi. I'm Cameron and I'm new." He said to my Spanish teacher Ms. Garcia.

"Alright Cameron, here are the things you need for this class and go sit behind Jocelyn. Jocelyn raise your hand so Cameron knows where to sit."Ms. Garcia said.

Cameron looked for me and when his eyes met mine, he smiled. He walked down the row and sat in the desk behind me. "Hey babe. Ready for the date tonight?" He asked. "Yep." I smiled.

All of spanish he kept poking me with his pencil eraser and i couldnt stop smiling. I cant wait until the rest meet him. After spanish I go to math and Cameron goes to Social studies.

We said our goodbyes and hugged. The classes we have together are spanish, art,gym and lunch. So we see each other four times a day. I walk into math smiling like crazy.

Squad seems to know what happened. "Hes here?" Annemarie asks me. "Yes!" I say hugging her. I tell the whole group including the guys. "Yes! Another guy!" Matty said.

Its Matty, Collin, Jake, Niall and Kyle... and Cameron now. Then for the girls theres me, Sam, Alice,Ellie, Annemarie and Maribel. Everyone has their pair.

"Jocelyn whats the answer." The teacher asks me. This always happens when i zone out. "Um, most likely?"

"Wrong answer. Please pay attention Ms. Antonio."

I look over at my bestfriend Alexisa. "Guess what Alexsia!"

She gasps and says,"You finally got a life!? Nah, just kidding. Whats up?"

"Rude but okay, I'm going on a date with a new guy named Cameron and he called me babe!" I half whispered. "Talk any louder and your gonna get me in trouble. Where is he from?" She asked.

"New York. He's in an exchange program since it was the only way he can get out of jail." I said calmly then I realized I haven't told Alexsia the story. Oops. I turned my head and her face was priceless. "He got in jail because of a something. Its not that bad. He was only in jail for-"

"Jocelyn, since you won't stop talking, I'm am going to ask you to come after school for talking during my lesson." He said interrupting me. No! I might be late for the date!

"Please can I have the detention for another day!? I have somewhere to be today!" I exclaimed. "Should have thought of that before talking in my class." Then the bell rang. Time for lunch, great. Now I have to tell Cameron to either cancel the date or I'm gonna be late.

I walk to squads lunch table and see that everyone already welcomed Cameron.

"Hi Jocelyn. You excited for today?" Cameron asked. "About that, I um.."

I trailed off. His face was filled with worry.

"I got detention." I said. Cameron smiled then laughed. "I see your taking after your boyfriend."

"Yeah, not really a good thing." I said laughing. We got our lunch and Cameron was asked a bunch of questions.

Either way he got along fine with my friends. I hope he does good in his classes so he can stay here till graduation. "Hey babe? Do we have art or gym next period or after?" Cameron asked.

"After why?" I asked. "Because I don't want to be separated from you." He replied while I felt butterflies in my stomach. All the girls awed which made me blush while the guys groaned. Thanks for killing the mood guys.

"So can we go on the date later in the afternoon?" I asked

"I mean, if you want to." He said.

"Today. I've waited long enough." I replied smiling. The bell rang and we walked hand in hand in the hallway but we eventually let go because we had different classes.

We said our goodbyes and I headed toward my locker. "Who was that guy you were walking and holding hands with?!"

"Why the fuck do you care!" I yelled rudely at the most annoying kid i know. Jose. "Why else would i care jocelyn! Because i love you!"

He kissed me and then i felt someone forcefully pull him away. It was Cameron. "What do you think your doing!" He yelled in Jose's face.

If cameron gets in a fight, it will go on his report and he will be sent back to jail or back home for sure. Before he throws a punch i step infront of him.

"Cameron dont do it."

"Why shouldn't I." Cameron said his face red with his hands clenched into fists. "Because if you do they will send you back to jail or transfer you back home."

"Then i wouldn't see you anymore..." i said trying to convince him. He calmed down letting his hands soften.

Then Jose started making chicken noises but i knew cameron was better than that, and that jose was the actual chicken here.

"Just dont fucking touch or talk to jocelyn again!" Cameron yelled at joses face. With that he scrammed away to class. Sadly hes in every single class of mine. Stupid honor/A.P classes.

I hugged Cameron. "Please don't get in trouble. I don't want you to leave." I pleaded him. "Don't worry I won't. Well I got to go before I'm late. See ya." He said and I nodded.

I walked into class and saw Jose smirking. "You no good son of-" I started saying but I was interrupted by Maribel.

"What did he do this time." She said. "He fucking kissed me! And almost got Cameron into a fight!" I yelled."Alright this has gone too far. Excuse me while I beat the shit out if him. Care to join me?"

"My pleasure." I say smiling. We look at jose and smile mistigvously. He backs up in till his back hits the wall.

"Your dead." We say in unison. Then we both chase after him but he accidentally bumps into kyle in the hallway. Kyle is super tall and looks down at jose. Jose laughs nervously and then runs away.

The bell starts for band and we all get our instruments out. Hers the rundown.

Sam and I= clarinet

Annemarie=saxophone

Ellie and maribel=trumpet

Dylan and matty= drums

Thats everyone important in band that i actually care about. I cant wait to see Cameron after school...
