chapter 21: Eyebrows

Sam's pov

I walked into the first class of the day. I sat down and waited for Ellie to get here.

I turned around to where Maribel sits but my smile dropped. Collin. I heard someone sit down in Ellies chair.

But again my smile drops. Matty. I roll my eyes and sit there. "Hey Matty can I talk to Sam for a while please?"

"Yeah sure" and he walked away to another seat.

I turned around and saw Annemarie."Thank god that's one down one more to go" I said then Annemarie smiled.

"Number 5?" Collin said.

"Number 5." He said again.

"Number 5" Collin kept trying to get my attention but Annemarie told me to ignore him.

*Cough* *Cough*, now he is "coughing" and "clearing his throat."

"I can take it anymore. What Collin?", I said.

He looked at me and said "Finally, I thought you lost your voice!" He said then I rolled my eyes.

"Hey look at me." I turned and faced him. "Im sorry." he said then I sighed and said "So, that's not gonna make it disappear."

"I know but I really like you since...", he hesitated.

"Since what?" I was curious. Since when did he start having feelings for me.

"Since the beginning. The day I first met you, when I helped you with the desks. I didn't know the feeling and it was weird but I started realizing I like you. All the times when I talked to you then ran away was because I was afraid it would ruin what we already have. Also because I was scared of rejection. But I like you." I just looked at him shocked.

He then started raising his eyebrows a bunch of times. Damn it Collin, one fact about me: I can't raise my eyebrows. "Showoff."

He chuckled,"What did you say? Showoff? Is it because you can't do this?" He started it again. "Stop that before I either get Annemarie or Maribel to hurt you."

He rose his hands up as a sign of surrendering. "Please don't. I'm kinda scared of Maribel but Annemarie scares me alot." He said.

"But you wanna know what im scared of the most?" He asked me then I said "What?"

"Losing you." I shook my head. He cant do that. "You cant talk to me like that." I said. Then he looked confused. "Like what?"

"You know what!" I said.

"That's how I talk to all my friends. I pretended gasp. "So you hit on all your friends?"

"Yep! But you seriously cant raise your eyebrows?" He asked me

"Nope. I try but I fail. It just looks like a twitch." I said then he started laughing.

"Its not funny!" Then he raised his eyebrow. I found it cute, not just him raising his eyebrows but most of the things he does.

He did it again and I smiled and shook my head. The teacher was rambling about stuff and I looked over at Collin.

He stared at we and we just stood there staring at each other. Then he raised his eyebrow.

Oh god Collin what are you doing to me. He leaned in and i quickly put my hand on his lips.

"What are you doing?" Then he got really red. The bell rang and Collin ran out of the room.

Annemarie, Alice and i walked out. Collin tripped over a girl and slammed into the lockers.

"Hes so red because you saw that!" Annemarie yelled then Alice and Annemarie started laughing.

He got even more red if it was even possible. Then i said "aw guys your so mean." Then i ran to my locker.

So far Collin's doing way better than Matty.
