Chapter 15: Ships and Gym

Sam's pov

Over the last week Matty and I have gotten really close. Everyone in our little group is doing ships.
Theres Kellie= Ellie and Kyle.
Make= Maribel and Jake.
Sollin= me and Collin. There's even Satty = me and Matty.
And of course Abox = Alice and her Xbox.

Its funny because none of these, besides Abox will happen. First i barely talk to Collin anymore ever since Matty came.

Second I doubt they even like me. Why cant i be like Annemarie. She has no worries neither does Alice.

But i am the mother like figure for our group so yeah. I was in gym which was Maribels favorite period.

So while Annemarie and i were going upstairs Matty came running up the stairs to catch up to us.

"Hey guys" he said "Hi" me and Annemarie said. "Ill see you upstairs" he said with a smile.

After he was gone Annemarie said "I kinda like Matty better than Collin" then i laughed.

Collin's pov

Its gym and I have to talk to Sam and Matty. I walk into the gym and see Sam and Matty playing badminton.

I guess he beat me to it as always. Then all of a sudden i feel a birdy hit my head.

"Sorry about that Col" Sam said with a smile. Col. "Its fine" i said simply then she ran back over to Matty.

"Ok class today we will have a badminton championship so find a team of 6." Our gym teacher said.

I looked around and saw that everyone had their teams. Im alone again as always. Loner for life.

Then I see Sam walk up to me. "Collin do you want to play with us?" She said then i looked at her team.

Annemarie, Maribel, Jake, Matty, her and then i would be the sixth one. Everyone seemed to want me there except Annemarie.

"Yeah" i said then she smiled and grabbed my hand. When we got to the group she let go of my hand and stood next to Matty and Annemarie.

"Alright heres number 6" she said. Then everyone looked at me and smiled. Well almost everyone. I was going to talk with Sam when the coach spoke,"We are gonna practice for 5 minutes as a warm up. Three people on one side, three people on the other side. Alright go!"

"I call Jake and Collin on my team!"

"Come on Maribel you always have the athletes on your team." It was cute watching Sam pout. 

"Well you have Matty on your team and thats good enough."

"Are you saying I can't play." Matty said.

"I didn't but you did, lets start!" I walked to the other side between Maribel and Jake. "Thanks for putting me on the athletes side."

"No prob. I've seen you play. You are really good."

"Thanks."

Five minutes later....

"We won high five guys!"

"Only by 2 points Jake!"

"If you didn't have Matty it wouldn't be. Probably 2 to 7."

"Alright students find another team of six and begin. Go!"

"Guys lets go against the juniors!"

"Hey Maribel? Can my team go against yours?" We turn to see Alex and his team.

"Uh I don't know ask Jake." She turns to Jake.

"Ask Sam." He turns to Sam.

"Matty?" She turns to Matty.

"Annemarie?" He turns to Annemarie. This is a stupid thing going on. "Why don't you ask Collin?" They all look at me. "Um sure why not?"

"Alright lets play!"

After game and gym is almost over...

"I can't believe we almost lost to freshmen!"

"Its okay Sam I mean we didn't loose did we?"

"No I guess you are right Collin."

"Do you want to sit together again in social studies like we used to?"

"What about Matty?"

"I'm sure he can find somewhere else to sit."

"Alright later then."

"Bye." I think I'm close to getting her back, goodbye Matty. Can't wait for gym tomorrow.
