Eleanor stood outside the entryway fiddling with the edges of the wrapping that covered the present. Cedric had said 8:30pm and it was now 8:36pm, Eleanor was staring to get agitated having stared at the same spot on the stone wall for the last 10 minutes.
The door creaked open as Cedrics head poked through the gap, a smile lit up his face when he saw Eleanor stood there waiting for him, she scowled back. He pushed the door wider open with his hand so she could squeeze through the gap. She she stepped in beside him handing the present over as the door locked shut behind her. When he bombarded her with a hug.
"I'm so glad you could make it!" He whispered into her ear as they hugged.
Eleanor pulled away and smiled up at him, she could never stay mad at him for long. "I obviously wouldn't miss your birthday."
He grabbed hold of her hand pulling her through the common room, it was a large but light circular shaped room with various jumbles of sofas and tables scattered throughout. None of the furniture seemed to match but it still gave off a very warm feeling unlike the Slytherin common room which was always cold and gloomy. Barrel shaped doors lead do the different dorm room, Eleanor dazed up at the ceiling and was greeted by hundreds of different plants strung from rope hook in tiny baskets.
"The guys have been dying to meet you" Cedric said, stopping at a sofa at the back of the room. Three guys looked up to meet her, they simultaneously rode from the sofa all holding out their hands. "Ella, this is Harvey, Ty and Zacharias. He's a fifth year but we don't talk about that." Eleanor shook their hands one by one before taking a seat in a large puff chair behind her, which she instantly sank into.
"So you're the girl Cedrics been going on about for the last six years, it's nice to finally meet the famous Eleanor." Ty said sweeping his hand through his black messy hair.
"I didn't know I was such a celebrity, the pleasure is all yours." She sarcastically replied placing a hand to her chest.
"I like her, she seems.. cool ." Harvey nodded, leaning his arm against the armrest.
"Come on Ced, open your presents!" The blond one called Zacharias said, shoving the boys present on to Cedrics lap from across the table.
He pulled the wrapping off the present in his lap to reveal brand new quidditch shoes. "Shit theses are expensive guys, thank you!" He cheerfully exclaimed holding them up to get a better look.
Ty laughed. "We're only broke for the next few years, nothing to worry about."
"No worries you deserve it mate!" Harvey nodded, "Ella your turn." She picked the gift up from the table handing it to him.
Cedric unwrapped her gift and was greeted by a framed photo of her, him, Harry, Ron, Ginny, Hermione and the twins at the quidditch World Cup, in the back ground the players from both teams were seen wizzing around as the group smiled into the camera. He smiled and placed it aside to see a new expensive set of quidditch goggles.
"All the pros have them, thought they'd come in handy for next year." Eleanor sweetly smiles as he beamed down at the gift in his hand.
"This is amazing thank you!" He beamed placing them on the table. "Thank you, all of you."
The three boys looked at each other with thin smiles. "Ced don't get mad at us but we got you another present." Tj said pulling a present up from beside their feet, once in view Eleanor realised what it was.
