Eleanor rolled her eyes for what felt like the 100th time in the last fifteen minutes as Ron pulled the bowl of crisps across the table until it was underneath his hungry gaze. "Ron, you can't pretend it's not there just because you don't want to do it."
"I can and I will!" He announced, whilst stuffing a handful of crisps into his mouth.
"Ronald don't be ridiculous," Hermione nagged shoving the textbook back in front of him, "the essays go toward our final grade at the end of the year and I think your mum would be appalled if you fail."
Ron stopped chewing. "Then how come I'm the only one with a book in front of them, where are your essays?" He moaned, a mouthful of crisps, slumping his back over the open textbook pages.
Eleanor kicked her feet up on the red worn-out sofa as Crookshanks climbed on her lap, as she ran her fingers along his back. "Thats because Hermione and I finished ours Monday evening in the library."
Eleanor had become quite a frequent visitor to the Gryffindor Tower common room, that now even the Fat Lady had stopped pestering her about being an intruder or 'devil snake' as she once put it.
For some strange reason this common room gave her a surreal feeling of comfort and home, sort of like she belonged here.
"And you didn't think to invite me?" Ron said, a hurt tone to his voice.
"Trelawney set the essay a week ago and you only decide to do it the night before it's due."
"I've been busy helping Harry with the second task!" He declares. "We haven't got far but it's a start."
Hermione scratched her forehead, as she watched the ginger-haired boy aimlessly stare at the textbook. "Fine, I'll help you write the introduction but then you're on your own." She caved grabbing his quill and parchment.
"You're too good to me." He smiled sweetly picking up another handful of crisps from the bowl on the table.
It was clear to Eleanor that the two had finally moved past their Yule Ball argument.
"Yeah she fucking is." Eleanor states under her breath as she notices Harry entering the common room. "And where have you been?"
"I was on a walk" He coughed, pulling a small crumpled note from his pocket, "this had your name on by the way."
Eleanor picked the note from his fingers and unfolded it's tightly wrapped contents, it was in Cedrics writing. "Where'd you find this?"
"Rolo was flying about the corridors with it in her beak, most likely trying to look for you."
"Ah" She inspected the crinkled piece of parchment before tucking it away in her pocket.
"So what does it say?" Ron poked, dropping his quill upon the tabletop.
Hermione clicks her pale finger at the side of his head, jabbing him in the ribs with the other."Eyes this way!" She demands before Ron loudly huffs as he's forced into working.
"It says 'Prefects bathroom, 9pm- that's it." Eleanor picked Crookshanks off her lap and placed him down on the plush sofa where he curled into a tight ball instantly falling asleep. "I should get going then."
"It's only 8:40, you don't need to leave yet." Harry said looking at his watch as he sat on the opposing arm chair.
"This castle is fucking huge and the prefect bathrooms are all the way on the fifth floor." Eleanor complained rushing past him, "Dumbledore should've designed this place like the tardis." Eleanor said waving goodbye as she pushed past Hermione and Ron on the table.
