Eleanor reached over grabbing a piece of toast off the rack as it floated past, she placed it in front of her covering the top with excessive amounts of butter. She could hear Hermione making tutting noises from behind her newspaper as she chewed.
A few days had passed since the first task and the daily prophet was covered in news articles from the tournament, that is thanks to Rita Skeeta.
"Ron! Ron!" Eleanor slowly waved her hand about trying to gain the boys attention from across the table.
"Huh" He half grumbled, still starring past her toward the Beauxbaton girls sat on the table behind with doe-eyes.
"Could you pass the juice?"
"Yeah sure." Ron nodded not taking his eyes off the girls. He reached his hand round the table, placing it on everything object until he found a jug and handed it over.
"Thanks" Eleanor thinly smiled staring into the jug. "Coffee it is then."
She poured herself a cup taking a long slip as the hot coffee ran down her throat, didn't taste as nice at all. She much preferred black coffee to this.
She watched as the Patil twins entered the hall greeting Harry as they passed to sit with Lavender Brown, Eleanor had recently noticed the twins always appeared where ever Harry happened to be. She reckons they've become starstruck with his new found fame and only want him for a front page article.
Harry turned his head looking round the hall before stopping it at another group of students. Eleanor moved slightly to look past his head, she saw him looking at Cho Chang and her friends. It seems Cedric is going to have some competition for her attention. He took a sip of water and smiled at her causing all the water to spill from his mouth into his lap.
Eleanor sniggered, "Nice going Harry, really attractive!" She giggled covering her mouth with her piece of toast.
Harry turned back toward her, his cheeks blushed as he looked down at the table and covered his eyes with his hand. "Shut up."
"She's done it again!" Hermione exclaimed, throwing the newspaper onto the table casing Ron to jump in his seat and out of his trance.
Eleanor budges over so her elbow brushed against Hermiones, meaning she could look down at the paper as Hermione reads aloud. "Miss Granger, a plain and ambitious girl seems to be developing a taste for famous wizards! Her latest prey sources have reported is none other than the Bulgarian bonbon Viktor Krum!" She raged screwing up her eyebrows and huffing.
"Seems like you want the whole team Mione, who's next Cedric?" Eleanor teased, wiggling her eyebrows at her.
Hermione snapped her head toward Eleanor glaring, "No word yet on how Harry Potter taking his latest emotional blow. This is an outrage!"
Eleanor bit down on her toast and shrugged. "At least you were featured in the paper."
Hermione almost laughed at her comment before scrunching the paper into a ball and tossing it further down the table. "I'll go and get it in a minute."
"Parcel for you Mr Weasley." A young Gryffindor boy approached carrying a large package in his hands and passing it to Ron.
"Thanks Nigel." Ron said tugging at the corners of the wrapping with his mouth slightly open. The young boy stood beside him not moving a muscle just staring at Harry, who awkwardly smiled back.
"Ron, forgetting something?" Eleanor said nodding her head toward the young boy.
"Not now Nigel, later." He said nudging him away as the boy reluctantly turned and walked down the hall.
