It had been an hour since deciding a good night was futile and a waste of time since she'd only had one thought on her mind after Rodger left yesterday evening. It pestered her like a mosquito bite on her leg until she'd finally given in the urge to scratch it, releasing the pressure that built up.
She had to tell someone about what happened.

It had been an hour since she left Hermiones latest suggestion of muggle book abandoned on her pillow. That is after she book marked her page to give her sanity and stop Hermione from nagging at her for folding the edges of the page. Eleanor had been hit on the head on too many times by her to keep forgetting.

Pansy and Daphne lay soundly in the beds as she crept out, Eleanor for a second debated wether to wake them and tell them her current news. However, the thought was quickly abandoned as she knew Pansy would have a hissy fit knowing Rodger- the non Slytherin student, had been in her room. Never mind the fact she'd lied to them about being ill.

Instead Eleanor had silently treaded through the castle on her tiptoes, making sure her ears were pricked up to any sudden sound. The halls were a lot quieter now, Dumbledore was hardly around and with Umbridge watching them like a hawk it was much harder sneaking through the halls. Some of the more uptight paintings, as Ron described, had even agreed to report back to Umbridge if they caught a student out of bed. This meant she'd had to take the long way around.

Although the only half exciting event to happen  throughout her journey, was ducking behind an old tapestry to hide from Harry and Snape conversing through the corridors towards his potions classroom. Harry was dripping in sweat, the lense of his glasses reflecting in the moonlight like two beacons, he looked exhausted to the point Snape practically dragged him along, both too involved in what they were doing to see Eleanor's feet sticking out from behind the tapestry. Snape was probably giving Harry another occlumency lesson, she knew Harry's night terrors had been getting worse almost becoming more frequent since the attack on Arthur. He'd briefly mentioned the lessons to Eleanor, saying they helped keep bad thoughts out whilst allowing him to stay in control. She didn't exactly understand, it was basically allowing Snape to nose through his memories without any consequences.

Apart from that the halls were lifeless. Not a single sound could be heard but to Eleanor the silence was deafening. They were too quiet, they were listening out.

They were watching her.

The hour felt like mere seconds to her.

Eleanor sat between the railing of the astronomy tower with her feet dangled over the edge and a blanket hugged tightly round her shoulders as she stared up at the sky. She hadn't said anything for the past twenty minutes. It's always going to be awkward telling people you finally lost your virginity right?

Although the most likely reason for her silence is shame. She didn't have a load of free time to come visit anymore, between juggling Rodger, DA starting again, her friends and now the constant pressure to study hard for her O.W.Ls. She didn't have a moment free to spare.

She'd always promised she would come to visit.

A sharp wind blew through her hair, as a haunting whistle rattled through the tower much like a lady's cry on a lonely night. Eleanor could tell there was a change, something was looming in the air. There was a storm coming.

Eleanor coughed into her hand, clearing her throat from the lump that had been lodged there. "Look at me." She said after being sat in silence for quite some time, "I came all this way to tell you something and now I'm here I'm too afraid to do so. Mother always told me to get to the point, don't mumble Eleanor, enough with the mumbling Eleanor."

Eleanor shook her head telling herself to get over it, they always told each other everything. "No I'm just going to do it. Alright but you can't freak out, Rodger and I went all the way."
