The courtyard was packed full of students, Eleanor and a few of the Slytherins had managed to squash together on a small bench in the corner. The tri-wizard tournament picking was still the thing on everyone's mind and Eleanor was staring to get rather ticked off from constantly being reminded how lucky she is to be friends with one of the champions.
Of course none of them were talking about Harry when they said this.
"I can't do it anymore!" Eleanor moaned lying down on the bench. She threw the parchment on the grass letting the pages jumble together. "I'm supposed to be doing this with my potions partner, does anyone know where he is by the way?"
"He went off with Crabbe and Goyle somewhere." Pansy sniffed shaking her head. "Which means they're probably picking on some unlucky first year."
"I agree, can we take a break?" Blaise said dropping his textbook on the ground. "I mean we've been doing this for hours and we're practically done with the essay anyway."
"Ugh fine, Pansy give me yours." Daphne caved, gathering the essays up from the ground.
"I need a bloody good rest after that!" Pansy cheered laying down out on the grass. "Does Snape have to set such hard essays?"
"Maybe if you actually studied you wouldn't find them so hard." Blaise mocked, pulling a twisted grin. "I mean have you actually ever stepped foot in the school library?"
Eleanor snorted. "No, no I think she has once although she may have just been following Malfoy in."
"Haha. You're both hilarious." Pansy pouted her lips out. "Speaking of Draco, has he started his essay."
Eleanor shrugged, they don't exactly communicate to each other about work. "No idea. We don't exactly speak."
"It's not due till Friday so we're okay." Daphne said, brushing a blond strand of hair behind her ear. "Practically covered everything I believe."
Eleanor sat up on her elbows she looked over toward the oak tree, where a rather large crowd of students were huddled round the base.
She squints her eyes to get a better view, it doesn't do anything. "Whats going on over there?" She asks the others, pointing towards the group.
"I have no idea but I'm finding out." Blaise said, getting up and running over.
"Blaise wait for us!" Daphne shouts also rising to her feet. "Pansy you coming?"
"I'm not going." Pansy groans, picking grass out of her raven bobbed hair, "I've just sat down. Tell me when you get back yeah?"
Eleanor followed the two toward the tree and under its branches, Professor Moody was there in the middle of the huddle. He dangled a white ferret on the end of his wand, next to him stood Harry with a massive smirk on his face as he watched on. She found Cedric stood within the crowd of students, he was laughing at the occurrence taking place in front of him with another girl, this time blonde clinging to his arm. "What's going on?" She asked him as she reached his side glancing at the girl.
He's picked better.
"The ferret well, it's Malfoy." He replied, folding his arms and poking his tongue on the inside of his cheek.
"Shut up!" Eleanor laughed watching the ferret fly in the air, "What happened?"
"Moody caught him trying to hex Harry of course."
She watched Moody pull open Crabbe trousers and place Draco, the ferret down his trouser leg as Crabbe cried out for help.
Eleanor snorted. "Well someone's got to be the first to go down there, bet Malfoy did expect it would be him."
