Eleanor hopped off the last step and quietly opened the heavy oak door in front of her connecting her to the castle once more. She stepped through the opening leaving the door to creak shut behind her and rejoined the main corridor. It was relatively early in the evening so there were still groups students hovering about in the corridors before Filch comes along to pester them about returning to their common rooms. Eleanor made her way along the corridors, whistle along to a new weird sisters song she'd managed to get stuck in her head until she reached the entry to the dungeons.
"Well, well, well. Where have you been all evening?"
Eleanor paused, cutting her tune off mid chorus to see Theo slipping past her so he could block the narrow pathway with his legs. He was scruffily dressed and smugly smiling down at her as he held something behind his back.
"Astronomy Tower." She crossed her arms looking up at him with narrowed eyes. It was obvious he'd done something, he was as see through as nearly-headless Nick. "Theo... what have you done?"
"Look what I got!" He squealed pulling a small clear bag out from his back pocket and shook it between his fingers. "Drugs!"
Muggle drugs. This had Harvey written all over it.
Eleanor snatched the bag from his hand as they walked towards the common room together, "Did you just get this from a boy in Hufflepuff?" She asked him.
Theo's eyebrows shot up and lips pouted, "Wait, how did you know?"
"Wild guess." She dropped the pouch into his open hand and muttered the password.
"I didn't know Hufflepuffs could be of any other use than a late night shag." He tossed the pouch around in his hand catching it with the other. "I was wrong."
Eleanor groaned, "Oh dear Merlin, it's always about the shagging with you."
"Correct." Theo smirked jumping through the opening and bounded down the stairs, "Draco!" He shouted cupping his hand round his mouth, so his voice echoed round the room as students turned to stare. "Draco, I got drugs! Come on!"
The common room fell silent. Every student turning towards the pair with confused glares, Eleanor thought they'd be use to his outbursts by now but possibly not. Although she could see one drop his head into his hands.
"We don't have any drugs." Eleanor said to one girl who glared at the pair up and down.
Draco stormed out from behind the table he sat at and over to them where he whacked Theo up the side of the head with his book. "Are you trying to announce it to the whole fucking common room." He hissed.
"There was no need for violence." Theo snatched the book and hit him in the forearm.
Draco glared back at him. "Give me my book Theo." He lowly ordered holding his hand out.
Theo retracted his hand holding the book close to his chest, tightening his grip round the bindings. "No. I can now see I made a mistake and now I'm afraid you'll hit me with it."
"Theodore Nott."
Theo looks at Draco in silence before pushing the book into Eleanors chest and bolting across the room and down the first few stairs towards the dorms. "Catch me if you can! Elle, are Pansy and Daphne in your dorm?" He shouted as she nodded back. "Draco, you go get Adrian and Blaise!"
He turned and disappeared down towards the girls dormitories corridor. It was like having an untrained puppy.
The two were left staring at the spot he had once been in, she could tell everyone was still watching them from across the room. "What about Crabbe and Goyle?" Eleanor asked Draco still holding his book.
