5. The Diner

💜 Andi's Third Person View💜
Andi walked up to the front door of her house. She heard someone was in the house and assumed it was her dad. She swallowed her fear and walked in. She was right. Her dad was looking through the fridge for another beer.

He glanced at her and mumbled something under his breath. She stood there for a second and waited for him to get done. He glanced at her and said, "What are you looking at?" Andi opened her mouth but nothing came out. She finally managed to stutter a couple of words, "Uh N-Nothing Dad. Are you hungry?" She said with an awkward smile. Her dad turned around completely and walked towards her and said inches away from her face, "Good girl. Make me a sandwich. That seems to be the only thing you can do around here anyway. The house is a mess." He said while grabbing a glass cup out of one of the cabinets and "accidentally" dropping it on the ground, watching as it shattered. He speaks in an emotionless voice while passing by the fearful girl, "Clean that up. Spotless."

She quickly grabs the broom and cleans up the mess. She hurriedly goes to the pantry next to the stove and grabs the bread, runs to the fridge to grab old bologna, mustard, cheese, a jar of pickles, and runs to a nearby counter with all the ingredients.

She quickly makes his sandwich, she had no time to think about anything else except making her dad happy, or his way of happy, which is leaving her alone for the time being.

She quickly walks over to the couch where her father is laying with his beer and hands the plate to him and kisses him on the cheek.

He looks up at her with a drunken smile, "Thank you, baby girl." Andi smiles and says in a soft voice, "Your welcome Dad." He turns to the living room TV without another word to her.

She stares down at the floor, feeling nervous about asking him about the diner. Still looking at the TV, her dad says in a knowing voice, "Spit it out, I'm missing my show." Andi quickly looks up and asks, "May I go to a nearby Diner to study, Daddy?" He turns his focus to her and says in a stern and low voice, "Go. But when you come back...I want this house spotless. There better not be a lick of dirt on anything in this god damn house." Andi nods nervously, and leans down to hug him, and says, " Thank you, daddy, I love you, have a fun time watching your show." Andi pecks his cheek and gets up to go upstairs.

Her dad shouts to get her attention, "Baby. Don't let me catch you with no boys. Or you will be punished." Andi nods in agreement and runs upstairs.

She closed her door gently and leaned against it trying to catch her breath from holding it in, scared her dad was gonna seriously hurt her. Not the kind of hurt he usually did, she was worried he would beat her senseless.

She quickly checked the time on her clock next to her bed and realized it was almost 4. She quickly got ready, touching up her makeup, getting new clothes on, of course, she wore her mom's AC/DC band tee, Black leggings and grabbed her biological dad's Army Green Jacket with patches on the sleeves and in the front. She never really knew her dad that well but she remembers a little. He was way better than her dad now.

Andi didn't have time to remember the memories about her dad. She had to go. She ran downstairs almost flying down them cause her legs had a mind of their own. She said to her dad running to the door, "Bye dad, love you." He glanced at her and grumbled in response.

When she closed the door behind her she noticed the neighborhood was pretty quiet. That's the way she liked it. She smiled out at the world. Happy about most of the events that had occurred. She walked down her steps and started walking to the Diner, Nina had sent her the name through a group chat. She had made it for the Cheerleaders but it eventually became a Bombing sight for Avery to talk badly about anyone she wanted.

Andi noticed a noise behind her and saw that a black car was moving slowly behind her. She turned around and picked up her walking pace. She eventually started running from fear of being kidnapped and hurt.
