34. Bloodlust

"Jonah?" His eyes seem to get darker and darker as he sits there. He isn't moving. You would think he would pounce at the first smell of my blood but he's just sitting there.

He's trying to fight the urge. Maybe if I slowly back up, the smell will go away for him. Wait, vampires have really good senses. Their senses are stronger when they turn so...it proabaly doesn't matter if I'm 20 feet or even 1000 miles away. He has my scent.

"Jonah, I know you can hear me. Do you think you can fight it?" I say it stern and simple. He doesn't speak but he gives me a slight twitch of his nose. He hasn't moved his eyes away from my neck and I can tell he really wants my blood, no matter how much he cares about how I feel. I can't out run him. I may be fast but he's a freaking vampire. Not to mention, he's 100x stronger than I am given he's technically in his early 20s.

God all this math is giving me a fucking headache. Ugh. As I growl and put my hand up to my head. Jonah slightly growls at my sudden movement. "Oh shut up." I say slowly laying down next to him. That was a stupid mistake, obviously.

He suddenly hovers his head above mine, his eyes move like a zombie's, they shift with his head, left from right as he stares intensely in my eyes. I have to admit, his eyes are still hypnotizing even though he could rip my throat out at any given moment. He gives a slight head tilt as he tries to figure out my scent again. I think he lost it when I laid down. He was laying here before me so maybe my scent collided with his. I don't freaking know! I'm not a vampire expert!

When I get frustrated with myself, I accidentally hit his leg. As I startle myself, he growls at me. "I'm sorry, okay! God, my head hurts." As I groan in pain and put my hands on my forehead and try to breathe, he shifts his body so he can see my face clearly. He soons hovers over my face directly. He gets closer and closer to me soon feeling my breathe on his face.

Soon he looks straight into my eyes, only inches away from my face. Why is he acting like he's never seen a human before...let me rephrase that. Why does he act like has never seen someone before? Wait. Did he act like this in the basement? Oh yeah, they didn't see humans for like 10 years. Jonah also turned in the basement so I guess it's like a whole other personality for him.

Okay now that I have that figured out. Now I need to figure out if he will hurt me or not. Maybe he's just trying to sense what I am.

Does he react to words? Demands? Emotions? I know he reacts to actions but what about social interactions. Since he's still hovering over me, maybe I can do something to let him know that I won't hurt him.

As I raise my hand, I make sure to point to it so he knows to look at it as I touch his face with the tips of my fingers. He doesn't react but I sense a hint of fear in his eyes. He slowly touches my hand, like he has never seen one before. Had he lost all communication and sense of his surroundings? He had to see atleast Lewis and Luke down there.

Suddenly Jonah sniffs my hand while slightly closing his eyes. Damn. He even looks attractive as a vampire. I feel like I should be more scared but I'm not. I was scared believe me but he seems a lot more calm now. His breathing is normal, his eyes don't shift with his head anymore. I think he was just scared and hungry. Oh that reminds me. He's proabaly starving. Do I just find some meat in the fridge or what? I could give him my blood but he might drain me since he is so hungry. Oh well might as well give it a try.

To get his attention, I point to my hand, then I grab a nearby pencil on his desk. I point to the pencil and then my hand. I stab my hand with the pencil and as soon as blood comes out, his eyes get even darker and wider. His eyes look almost black and his veins look like spider webs. I wonder if he gets headaches due to his eye sight being so strong.
