One Direction's Big Break: The End

Chapter one

Lena's POV

I walked into the house after a long day at the studio. I was sick of working all the time.

"Mummy!" I heard.

A huge smile broke across my face as my reason for living toddled across the living room towards me.

"Keira!" I cried.

I picked her up. "Did you have a good day with daddy Justin?" I asked.

She nodded. "Daddy Justin and me went shopping, and he bought you a surprise." She said.

"Keira!" I heard. "You weren't supposed to tell Mummy!" Justin said, appearing in the doorway.

"I couldn't help it!" She whined.

I smiled and put her down.

"What'd you get me?" I asked.

"I can't give it to you now." He said.

"Why?" I asked.

"It's not a surprise anymore." He pouted.

"I still don't know what it is. It's still a surprise." I said.

His eyes lit up. "Yay!" He cried.

He picked up and box and handed it to me.

I opened it up and pulled out a long, gold chain.

"Okay, I'm not even going to pretend I know what this is for." I said.

Justin laughed.

"It's a chain to put around your neck. For your ring. I know when you've got to do all that dancing for your performances you have to take it off. This way you can keep it on." He said.

I smiled. "I love it Justin. Thank you." I said.

"You're welcome, beautiful. Oh, your brother called today. He's apparently got some huge news, and he's going to be in town for awhile. So he wants to know if he can stay with us. Kathryn also called. She and niall want to come over for dinner tonight. Are you good with that?" He asked.

"Sounds good. What are we cooking?" I asked.

Justin smiled and pulled out box of Chinese food, clearly takeout.

"Chinese." He said.

I laughed and shook my head. He hated to cook.

"So what about Liam?" He asked.

"I'm good with Liam staying if you are. Is Sophia coming?" I asked.

"No. She's going somewhere with Perrie. I don't know. I guess all of One Direction's girlfriends are going out." He said.

"One Direction isn't a band anymore." I told him. "They haven't been for four years."

"I know I know. Anyway, do you want to call him?" He asked.

"Sure." I said. I pulled out my phone and dialed my brothers phone number.

"Hello?" He answered.

"Hey, Liam." I said.

"Lena!" He exclaimed.

"Hey." I giggled. "So Justin says you're coming to New York?"

"Yeah. Are you cool if I stay with you? I mean, you did live in my house for two years." He said.

I laughed. "of course liam." I said.

"Yay. I'll be there in a week." He said.

"Sweet. What's up?" I asked.

"Oh, not much. Making music. Hanging with Zayn. The usual." He said. "You?"

"I've been working. Keira's growing." I said.

"I know I can't stand it. Is she there?" He asked.

"Yeah. Do you want to talk to her?" I asked.

"Sure." He said.

"Keira, Uncle Liam's on the phone for you." I called.

Keira came bounding to me, and I handed her my phone.

She babbled to him for almost an hour.

God liam was amazing.

He and Sophia had been trying to have a baby, but found out she was infertile. It was pretty upsetting, considering what a great dad Liam would be.

"Hey, Lena?" Justin called.

"Yeah?" I asked.

"Did you order flowers?"

I frowned when my fiancé walked in holding a huge bouquet of roses.

"No." I said.

"Who sent these then?" He asked.

I stood up and looked at the card.

"I don't know." I said
