Lena's POV
I hung up on Justin and went into mommy mode. If whoever this was wanted me, then he was getting me. So long as he didn't hurt Keira.
"Lena, what did Justin want? What's going on? What's wrong with Keira?" Liam and Harry were both firing questions at me and I couldn't answer them. I wouldn't tell me what was happening. They would never let me go.
"Justin left Keira at the daycare, like I did before." I said. "She's back now."
"Was it the daycare who called you first?" Luke asked.
"Yes." I said. I glared at harry. "It was your dumbass girlfriend that called, actually." I added for good measure.
"Ex girlfriend." Harry corrected.
"What the fuck ever." I said.
There were so many questions I still had to ask all of them, but I didn't have time. The man would call me back soon, and I had to be alone for it.
"I'm going for a walk." I said, going for the door.
"Wait!" Liam and Harry both yelled.
"What?!" I demanded.
"Lena, please don't go alone. Last time you ran from us, you were in the accident." Liam said.
"And before that you got hit by a car." Harry said.
What was it with me and cars?
"I'll be careful." I said.
"Lena, please." My brother begged. "I don't want you to get hurt."
"Maybe you should've thought about that when you lied to me." I said.
I stomped out the door.

The hour was up, and I waited anxiously for the kidnapper to call. As the time sped on, I got more and more fidgety.
Finally, my phone rang.
"Hello?" I said upon answering.
"Well that was fast." He said.
"Justin told me what you want." I said.
"Did he now?" He asked.
"Is Keira okay?" I asked, ignoring him.
"She's fine." He said. "As promised, I won't hurt if I get what I want."
"You'll get what you want. But I want you to leave Keira with her father or Justin." I said.
"I'm afraid I can't do that, Lena. I'm in London." He said.
My heart stopped. How long had he had Keira to get her all the way here?
"I know you're here too." He said.
"Then take her to her Uncle Liam's. You don't have to talk to him. Just leave her where they'll find her, soon. I'll go with you, just tell me where to meet you." I said.
"You meet me first. Then we'll both take your daughter to liam." He said.
"Fine. Where?" I asked.
I wanted Keira to be away from him as soon as possible, but at least I would be there with her now. I could protect her now.
"The park down the road from your brothers house. Do you know it?" He asked.
"Yes." I said.
"Okay. Meet me there now." He said.
With that, he hung up.
I took off running.

I got to the park and looked around. That's where I saw a clearing. Yet another flashback crashed into my mind like a wave.
I'd been walking for about twenty minutes when I realized there were tears on my cheeks. I gave up walking and-ignoring the fact that this wasn't the first time I'd left Liam and gotten lost-found my way to the park. It was getting dark, and I needed to just sit somewhere and think.
Sitting and thinking turned into lying on the grass and thinking, with my hair fanned around my head. I stared up at the sky, wondering how the hell Liam could've ever figured out what my "parents" had done.
I was still lying there when I familiar voice interrupted my thoughts.
"Are you hurt, dear?"
I turned my head and saw none other than Luke Hemmings standing over me.
"Lena! Hello there!" He exclaimed. He gave me a smile, one that made me smile back without even trying.
"Hey Luke." I said.
He gestured to the ground beside me. "May I?" He asked.
I nodded and he sat beside me. "What's Liam's little sister doing out here all alone?" He asked.
"Got into a fight with Liam himself." I said.
"Want to talk about it?" he asked.
I sighed. Not really. But I decided, hell. I needed to tell someone. Why not Luke?
I decided to tell him. Starting with my parents.
I shook my head to rid myself of the memory. I didn't need to be asking myself questions about my teenage life while I was trying to save my daughter.
That's when I saw him.
He was tall, a little thin, and had jet black hair and eyes almost as dark. His skin was tan, and he clearly wasn't from London. But he may live here now.
Upon closer examination, I could see that he had burn scars all over his arms, and one long one on his face. There was another scar on his eyebrow, but that didn't look like a burn. He held Keira closely to his body and she looked around, terrified. She hadn't seen me yet, which was probably good, because I was just as horrified.
Though he looked different that he had years ago, I still recognized him from the photos Liam had hidden in my room. This was the boy. The one Harry and Liam and everybody else said was so horrible. The one they all tried to hide from me.
The one they all said was dead.
Alan.
