Liam's POV
"Mate, what have you got me in here for?" Zayn asked me.
"Zayn, Lena left Justin." I said.
"I was worried it would come to this." He said.
He rubbed his jaw. "Maybe we should just tell her." He said.
"Justin thinks so too." I said.
"How though?" He asked.
I glared at him. "We're not telling her." I said.
"What?" Zayn asked.
"I mean, we'll tell her some things. Like about our parents and everything. But I'm not telling her about harry." I said.
"Liam, you can't do that." Zayn said.
"Zayn, I can. And I will. Lena almost died in that accident. And it was Harrys fault. I will not let him be the reason I come so close to losing her again." I said.
"Mate, you're going to lose her because of what you're doing before harry causes it." Zayn said.
"Let me deal with that." I said.
"Liam, you have to tell her everything. Or I'm out." He said.
"Fine. Be like Josh." I said.
"Josh is the only one being a good brother right now!" Zayn shouted.
I rolled my eyes. "Get out. Go." I said.
"Fine. I will." he said.
He started for the door and then stopped.
"Just know this, Liam." He said.
"I'm not coming back."
Harrys POV
I walked back in the door to my apartment. I'd been out all night, drinking. I wasn't drunk, but I was getting there before I left.
My phone began to ring.
"Hello?" I asked upon answering.
"Harry."
I knew that voice. I would know it anywhere.
"Liam." I said.
"Justin told me you were there today." He said.
"Did Justin tell you what I said?" I asked. Anger flared up in me just thinking about what he did.
"Of course he did." Liam said.
"And let me guess what you're going to say. 'Say one word to my baby sister and I'll kick your ass'." I snapped.
"Quite the opposite. I wanted to thank you. You reminded me how crazy it was for me to lie to Lena like that. I'm going to tell her everything. When she comes home." He said.
"She left?" I asked.
"She overheard Justin and I talking. She got upset and left. But she'll come back. Keira will start to miss Justin." He said.
"Where's Keira now?" I demanded.
"With Ashton and Calum. He called me to ask if we'd told Lena. I said we were about to." He said.
"So what?" I asked. "Why are you telling me anything?"
"Don't tell Lena anything. Okay? Hearing it from you isn't right. She deserves to hear it from me." he said.
Sadly, I agreed with him.
"Fine. If I see her, I won't say anything." I said.
"Not that you'll see her." Liam said.
He hung up before I could reply.
I rolled my eyes and looked at my phone. There was a missed call I hadn't noticed before. I didn't recognize the number, but whoever it was left a message.
I called my voicemail.
Harry, this is Lena Payne. Sorry to bother you, but I needed to talk to you. Do you think you could meet me? Call me back as soon as you can. It's rather important.
My heart pounded. She called me. I knew exactly what she needed to talk to me about. But she'd called me. How had she even gotten my number? What made her think of me?
Who the hell cares?
I quickly dialed her number, still breathless. I would hear her voice. I would speak to her.
"Hello?" She finally picked up.
"Lena?" I asked.
A breath of relief. "Harry?" She asked.
"It's me." I said. "Are you okay?"
"Yes I'm okay. Can you meet me somewhere?" She asked.
"Um, I can give you directions to my house." I said. Please don't say no. "I'm a little buzzed. I shouldn't be driving."
"That's fine." she said. "Just send me your address."
"Okay. I'll see you soon." I said.
I sent her my address and waited. About fifteen or twenty minutes later, she knocked on my door.
"Come in." I called.
The door opened and there she was. Her black hair was falling around her face, her one light brown eye and one green eye was sad. She was frowning.
"Lena." I said aloud without meaning to. How could someone so stressed look so damn beautiful?
"Harry. I'm sorry. I'm sure you didn't want to see me-"
"I did want to see you." I blurted. "Don't worry about me. What's going on?"
She sighed and walked closer to me. "My brother and my fiancé are lying to me. And I have a feeling everyone else is too. For Liam. I figured you wouldn't, considering you broke off with them before my accident." She said.
More like at the time of your accident. I thought. But I stayed silent.
"What are they lying about?" I asked.
"There's someone who was a part of my life. Someone who is trying to contact me. But I don't remember who it is because they didn't tell me. And they still won't." She said.
"How do you know they're trying to contact you?" I asked.
Who the hell was it?
"Justin said something about shutting him up. And Liam was saying it wouldn't be that hard for me to figure out who it was. But this person...Harry, whoever it is really loves me." She said.
"How do you mean?" I asked.
"The day after I woke up in the hospital with no memory, Justin was staying with me. He was asleep, and I almost was. It was dark, and someone came up to me and said that he was sorry he messed up. That loved me. And that he would fix everything." She sighed.
She rubbed her face-a habit she'd always had when she was stressed-and then stood up.
"Can I use your bathroom?" She asked.
"Of course. Right down that hall there." I said.
She walked away and I ran my hand through my hair. I knew exactly who it was Justin was trying to shut up. That was obvious. He and Liam were talking about me.
What bothered me was that I had no idea who went to Lena in the hospital.
Hahaha I bet yall thought it was Harry!
What's gonna go down next?
Love you all!
