One Direction's Big Break: The End

Chapter forty seven

Liam's POV

My fear over having my own child was overshadowed by excitement for my sister. But it crept back up not too much longer, when lena began to talk about going back to the doctor with Harry soon.

"I'll have to go to he doctor with Cheryl soon." I said.

Lena met my eyes. "Are you excited?" She asked.

"I'm terrified." I said.

"Liam, seriously. You're going to be fine." Lena said.

"What if something goes wrong?" I asked.

"You always worry about what could go wrong. Think about what's going right. You're going to have a baby, liam. One of your very own." She told me.

"Finally." Harry added.

I smiled. "I am excited, but-"

"No buts." Lena said. "No worrying about what could go wrong until something actually does. Okay?"

I nodded. "And that goes for you too, Harry." She said. He nodded too.

"Which reminds me. Liam, you remember my pregnancy. Did I have a lot of problems?" She asked.

"Well, I wasn't actually there for a lot of it. You lived with Ashton in Sydney. He and Luke and cal and Mikey would know." I said.

"See I was hoping I wouldn't have to ask Ashton. It's kind of awkward." She said.

"I was only there for the birth. And that went just fine." I said.

"You were there for the birth? Like, in the room?" Harry asked.

"Ashton was being a douche and didn't make it. Lena was scared and asked me to stay. So I did. It's not like I saw anything. I stayed by her head." I said.

"That story doesn't surprise me at all." Lena said.

"It shouldn't. You know I'll always be there for you. Sometimes too much." I said.

"Liam, promise me one thing." Lena said seriously.

"What?"

"You're going to be overprotective of your baby. But please please please don't do what you did to me. You lied to me a lot to protect me. Whatever you do, promise me you won't lie like that to your child." She said.

I looked my baby sister in the eyes. "I promise. I've learned my lesson with that." I said.

Lena nodded and smiled. "Good." She said.

Then her whole face lit up. "I'm gonna be an aunt!" She cried.

"Well, you kind of are, to Blake and Louis' kids." I said.

"Not by blood!" She exclaimed. "This one will be! I'm gonna spoil the shit out of your kid!"

Harry laughed. "I can't wait to see this." He said.
