One Direction's Big Break: The End

Chapter 53

Lena's POV

"Theo?!" I demanded. 

Why in the hell would Theo be breaking into my house and terrorizing my daughter-he hurt her! 

"They caught footage of him climbing out of Keira's window on our neighbor's security camera. They heard the story and wanted to help." Harry said. 

"I don't understand why Theo would do that." I said. "Are they sure?" 

"They want you to come in and ID him, since you dated him." Harry said, and there was hatred behind the word "dated". 

"When and where?" I said. I was half hoping that the video wasn't of Theo, and half hoping that if it was, I would get him put in jail for hurting my baby.

If I didn't kill him first. 

"Now, at the police station." Harry said.

I stood up. "Let's go." I said.

I watched the video alone in a private room at the police station. I saw Theo basically launch himself out of the window I knew to be Keira's and hit the ground, then running off into the night. 

It was him alright. 

"Lena, is that Theo James?" the detective asked me. 

"Yes, I am absolutely certain." I said. 

"Do you have any idea why he would do this?" she asked. 

I shook my head. "It doesn't make sense. He always adored Keira." I said. 

"You said the two of you used to date?" 

"Yes, for a little while. Less than a year. When I moved back to London we broke up." I said. 

"Why did you break up?" she asked. 

"He broke up with me because my ex-boyfriend, who is now my current boyfriend, told me he still loved me, and then my brother got hit by a car literally ten minutes later. Anyway, there was a lot of drama and Theo said it was better he didn't get involved, and he broke up with me and left." I said. 

"Was there any problems after that?" she asked. 

"No, I haven't even heard from him since. It's been months." I said. 

"Could it be a response to you being pregnant with Harry's baby? Is he jealous?" she asked. 

"I don't know. Anything is possible, I guess." I said, shrugging. 

"Well, we may not know why, but we know he was in your house. That's enough to arrest him." she said. 

"What about my daughter?" I demanded. 

"We'll need her to come in and identify him for us to charge him for what he did to her. Do you think she can do that?" she asked. 

"I think she can." I said. "We can try." 

"Good. I'll call you when it's time. And Lena?" 

"Yes?" 

"I'd like to ask Keira to tell me the story again, if you don't mind. I need to make sure her story is the same." she said. 

"Are you saying you think she lied?" I demanded angrily. 

"Not at all, but Theo's lawyer will try to discredit this as a 6 year old's over-active imagination. Everything she told us before was consistent with the injuries she sustained, but I want to make sure her story is mostly the same. It will help us put him away." she said.
