One Direction's Big Break: The End

Chapter sixteen

Lena's POV

Today was Liam's last day in New York.

But I'd gotten a wild idea last night.

"I want to go home." I told Justin.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"With everything that's been going on, I feel like I should spend more time with Liam. More time figuring out who I really am. And so I think I should go back to London with him." I said.

"Tomorrow?" Justin wanted to know.

"Yes, tomorrow. I can leave Keira, you and Ashton can work out when you each want her. I need time with just Liam. And I'd like to see louis too. Tell him I know about everything. And that I forgive him." I said.

"Well, Lena, I'm not going to tell you you can't go. Because one, that's not my place, and two, you would go anyway." Justin said. "im just gonna miss you."

"It'll be okay. I'll be home in like, three days. I promise." I said.

"Fine. Tell Liam." Justin said.

So now, I was packing a suitcase.

Justin knocked and came in the door. "You know, I can still get Keira and we can all go." He said.

"You have work and I can't take Keira that far away from Ashton. Why do you think he and Calum moved here when we did?" I asked.

He sighed. "I love you. I'm afraid you won't come back." He said.

I walked over to him and hugged him. "I love you too. And I promise I'll come back." I said.

He held me tight. "You call me whenever you can. I don't care what time it is." He said.

"I will." I said.

"Okay. Go. Before you're late."

My brother and I arrived at the airport, and I was remembering when Justin and I were leaving London to go to New York.

"Okay, I think we're ready to go through security." Justin said.

It hit me that this was where I would say goodbye. Liam and the boys were all standing in a group, watching me. They knew it too.

"Mummy?" A two year old Keira asked me.

"Yes baby?" I asked.

"How come Unca Lem have no bags?" She wanted to know.

I sighed. I didn't know how to explain to her that her favorite person wasn't coming with us.

"Unca Lem has to stay here, baby." Ashton told her. He and Calum were going to move to New York in a few weeks, when their adopted son Leo was ready to travel.

"But why daddy?" She asked. "you and cal is coming."

"I know." Ashton said. "But Lem has to stay here."

Keira pouted. "Then I wanna stay here too." She said firmly.

"Keira," I said.

"Hey, baby." Liam said. "Come here."

Keira reached for him and he took her into his arms.

"It's gonna be okay. Unca Lem will come visit all the time. And you and mummy and Justin are gonna have a great time. Don't you worry, baby." Liam told her.
