Ms Venable sat in the seat next to the couple, while Morticia spoke up.
"On our way here we came across a woman. A young mother with 2 children. They were some of the unlucky ones who were far enough from the blast radius to survive the fireball but......not the radiation" Morticia spoke sadly, Michael continued while rubbing her stomach.
"They were covered in tumors and sores. Their lungs were burnt from the toxic air" his voice sounded strained, as the young woman finished for him.
"After a few moments, i realized the child she was carrying in her arms was already dead. She begged me to kill her other child out of pity. She didn't have the strength to do it herself, so she prayed for someone to come along and do it for her" she finished with a sigh, a tear ran down her face which Michael wiped away.
"Did you?" Ms Venable asked the younger woman.
"Of course not" she replied. Suddenly both her and Michael stood up and walked, well Michael strutted, to their desk.
"So, who has a spot at salvation?" He asked grabbing a folder, before he continued.
"Let's start with Coco Saint Pierre Vanderbilt" the couple looked over to the red headed woman, awaiting her answer.
"The Vanderbilt girl is a vacuous abomination of inbreeding. She'd be my last choice to propagate the human race. The hairdresser is a cowardly homosexual. His grandmother is a festering pustule who won't die. And the talk show host....well, actually, I don't know much about that one" she stated with such malice, it surprised the couple.
"Wow, at this rate, it sounds like we will have the Sanctuary to ourselves" Michael smiled at his lover, then looked to Ms Venable.
"Come on, there's no need for us to be adversaries Ms Venable" he stated. Then it went quiet for a few minutes, not before Morticia spoke up.
"Take off your dress" she said firmly to the older woman.
"I will not" she sputtered out, looking at the young woman bewildered.
"Part of you're Cooperation includes a physical examination" Michael said clarifying the situation.
"You can read my file" Ms Venable fought back, the blonde man rolled his eyes in annoyance.
"Your file won't show us what we need to see" Michael watched as his fiance walked over to the woman. She was circling her like an animal to their pray.
"We want to see that part of you that humiliates you the most" Morticia whispered in the woman's ear, a hand placed on her shoulder. Not before Ms Venable grabbed it quickly, the young woman slid her hand to the zipper and pulled it down slowly.
Michael walked next to the girl and watched, the woman's condition was easily noticeable. Morticia ran her fingers down her spine, causing the woman's breathe to hitch.
"Does it hurt?" Michael asked quietly, the woman took a shaky breathe before answering.
"No" Morticia spoke next.
"But does it bring you great pain?" The hybrid asked, leaning closer.
"Yes" Ms Venable whispered, they could hear her trembling while tears quickly ran down her face. Morticia pulled back and zipped up the dress.
"Okay, we've seen enough" she stated standing back, the older woman turned to look at the couple.
"Did I pass the test?" She wondered, Morticia lips twitched upwards slightly.
"No dear" before anything else was said, there was a knock on the office doors.
"Yes" Michael called out. The doors opened and Ms Mead stood looking at the couple and Ms Venable.
"I'm sorry to interrupt, I need Ms Venable" Morticia nodded. Ms Venable cleared her throat and she started to walk off.
"Good evening Mr Langdon, Miss Black" with that she left the young adults alone. Ms Mead closed her eyes, then opened them looking at the smug couple.
"Sir, Ma'am" she spat before closing the doors. Morticia stood and listened to their conversation. She felt Michael wrap his arms around her waist, placing his head on her shoulder.
"That was exhausting" she hummed, making her lover chuckle.
"I know my love, but once this is all over, we can go back home. We'll get married and have our little family" he whispered in her ear, making her turn to him. She stared into his beautiful blue eyes, the smile on both their faces never left.
"We should go pay Mr Gallant a visit, his punishment should be over soon" she said, while giving Michael a quick peck on the lips.
"Of course" with that the couple left hand in hand to the chamber, in which the hairdresser was chained in.
Michael walked in first, Morticia trailing behind but leaning against the wall watching the ordeal.
"In seconds, we can destroy everything humanity has built over thousands of years, but we will never be free of the desire to be cruel to our fellow man" Michael states while brushing his fingers of the opens slash marks. Gallant hissed at the touch, but liked it none the less.
"It wasn't so bad, could have brought out the cat-o-nine-tails and I still wouldn't have started you out" the young blonde answered turning to look at Michael.
"Ratted me out? For what?" Michael asked, still running his fingers over the wounds.
"You know, for coming to my room the way you did. In fact, all I could think about was our time together while they were having a go at me" Gallant said smiling slightly, Morticia cracked a smile at the young man.
"I've never been to your room" Michael said in mock confusion, who was now facing the hairdresser.
"Right. And that wasn't you in the rubber suit giving into me" he said Michael chuckles at the man before speaking.
"Let me be clear as I know I can be" the blonde said stepping closer to the chained man.
"I wouldn't fuck you if you were the last man on Earth and you almost are" he replied smirking, the young woman could see the anger on Gallants face at Michael's words.
"And it's not because you're not physically attractive. Its your neediness, your desperation to be seen and loved. The hole you need to fill isn't in your ass or face. Its in your heart" he finished in a mocking tone, he walked backwards before stopping.
"You're pathetic. I can see why your grandmother is disgusted by you" Gallant's frown became more prominent.
"You don't know anything about my nana" he said glaring at the blonde man.
"Why else would she report you? Make them do this to you. I'm sure she'd hoped they would nout you out of your misery....and her's" The chained man shook his head in disbelief.
"That's bullshit" he spat.
"She's the reason you're staring at a death sentence. She would do anything to increase her slim odds of getting out of here. You know she hates your guts" Michael mocked humorously.
"You're a liar"
"Am I? Perhaps you should go and talk to her about It yourself, then" Michael finished walking towards the door, he looked at his fiance and tilted his head.
"You go darling, I'll meet you in our room later" he looked confused but nodded anyway, he kissed her head and left.
