Chapter 55

Jimin's eyes wide opened and he gasped loudly. He was in a trance. All he remembered was Taemin's fangs burying his skin. The ritual. His wolf.

He was startled as he felt a growl coming from inside. It was him. It was his wolf.

Tears of joy pooled in Jimin's eyes. He was finally complete.

But another growl alarmed him. He closed his eyes trying to get connected with his wolf.

"We need to go..." He heard a someone say. "They are closer. They will take us as they did before."

Jimin didn't get the time to think but he was already on his feet. His body refused to listen to him and decided to follow the wolf's words.

"Where are we going?" Jimin asked to himself. He tiptoed towards the bedroom door and peeked through the slit. There was Taehyung, Jin, Serena, Jisoo and Sana.

"Don't go there..." He heard the voice again. "Wait why not?"

His protests fell into deaf ears as his legs guided him towards the window. Jimin slowly opened the window and jumped outside. It was Taehyung's backyard.

He didn't understand what was going on. But as he looked back a grey smoke had enveloped the cabin blinding his vision.

"No...Taehyung, Taemin, Seokjin hyung..." Jimin tried to run towards them.

"Don't..." His wolf shouted. "They are after us...Don't go in there..."

"But." Tears trailed out of his eyes. "Leave...now..."

Jimin knew his wolf was right. It killed him to leave his friends in such a position but he was the one who was in real danger.

"Where should I go..."

"Enter the forest...I'll try to cover your tracks as I could...But I'm not sure how long..."

Jimin ran using the trees and bushes as cover. He noticed the smokes and screams that came from the pack and he couldn't go back. Those people were there for him. If he let them catch him, all these sacrifices the pack did would go waste.

Even the moon hides behind the veil of clouds easing his job for him. He could sneak better without the moonlight snitching him out. Jimin prayed for something to save him.

"YOONGI..." Hoseok banged the door. A shuffling was heard from the other side and a very tired looking alpha opened the door. Yoongi was pale, sweating, standing at the door step with just in his sweatpants.

The strong pheromones of the rut hit the beta who took few steps back. But Yoongi could open the door. He wasn't that weak.

"They are attacking us." The beta informed.

The alpha rubbed his eyes. He was totally disconnected with the world ever since he entered the cabin. The distant screams and growls alerted him and he felt even his wolf has pushed the haze of rut away from him.

"Jimin." The alpha asked eagerly coming out of the cabin. "Hoseok where is he?"

"Yoongi you are weak." The beta looked helpless. "You can't fight."

"I CAN KILL ANYONE WHO HURTS MY MATE." Yoongi bellowed. "TELL ME WHERE IS JIMIN HOSEOK?"

"He fell unconscious after the ritual." Hoseok said looking down. The alpha before him was berserk, dominance oozing from him. "He is at Taehyung's cabin."

"Who is there with him?" Yoongi asked quickly walking away. He wanted to be with Jimin. His rut and his limitations everything dimmed away and Jimin was his only priority.
