Chapter 22

Taehyung and Jeongguk had disappeared somewhere, leaving Jimin with Hoseok. Not that he was complaining, the latter was a good entertainer and he knew how lovesick his best friend was. Though Hoseok kept him company, he had a few errands to run regarding the arrangements of the guest pack's arrangement.

Promising Jimin that he will come back to him sooner he sorts this out the beta left. Jimin wandered around, just simply enjoying the night and found himself near the refreshment table. The cupcakes arranged were mouthwatering and he helped himself up.

"Hi." He swiftly turned around as he heard a voice and found a beta standing there smiling at him. "Hello." Jimin hesitantly said.

"Your performance was amazing." The beta gushed out. Jimin felt a faint blush rising up on his cheeks at the compliment. "Thank you..."

"Kangdae." The beta said still smiling. "Kangdae." Jimin repeated.

"So, you are from Bangtan Pack I presume?" Kangdae asked looking at other werewolves enjoying the festival. "Yes." Jimin replied.

"If you don't mind me ask, I haven't seen you here before. I have come here before and i am sure I would've remembered someone like you." Jimin could feel the curiosity in his words.

"Oh, I joined the pack recently." Jimin said. "I was injured and their scouts found me and took me in."

Kangdae raised his eyebrows at hearing that. "I was a loner for some time. Namjoon hyung asked me to join the pack and here I am."

"I'm surprised that you survived in the woods alone. With all these increase in rogues and all I don't think omegas survive alone outside the pack." The beta said. Jimin didn't know how to respond to that. When he thinks about it, he realizes that Kangdae was right. After what happened to Taehyung, he was confused that how in the world did he manage to survive these long years alone. He was an omega, and he didn't have anyone.

"So do you have someone?" The beta's question startled him. "A mate, I mean."

"No." Jimin said quickly. " I – I haven't found one."

"Me either." Jimin smiled warmly. "Do you want..."

"I was searching for you." Kangdae couldn't complete his question before they were interrupted by a very familiar voice. Jimin was surprised to find Yoongi standing there glaring at Kangdae which confused him. "Taehyung is looking for you." The alpha briskly said before holding his arm dragging him closer.

Jimin could swear that he felt a slight shock as Yoongi took his arm. "Uh, okay." He said confusedly at the behavior of the alpha. "It was nice seeing you Kangdae-ssi." Jimin rushed out his apology. Surprisingly Yoongi didn't drag him out before he could politely say goodbye to the friendly beta. "I hope that we could see each other again."

"Oh we will Jimin-ssi." Kangdae smiled eerily and Jimin felt slight uncomfortable. Beside him the alpha was full on glaring mode at the beta, who ignored it completely. Jimin brushed of his uneasiness and smiled warmly before completely letting Yoongi drag him to the other end of the arena.

"Can you slow down a little bit." Jimin gasped out as they reached less crowded area. Yoongi ignored him and aimed towards the refreshment table opposite to that of where Jimin stood previously. The omega was hoping to see Taehyung or Jeongguk since the alpha brought him saying that his brother searched for him but no one was there.

"I thought Taehyung was here." Jimin mumbled as Yoongi stopped near the table. "And I thought you were with Hoseok. Do you know how dangerous is this to wander alone?" Yoongi shouted annoyed and Jimin frowned. "I haven't crossed any pack borders and there were so many people around me." He said trying to make sense to Yoongi. Jimin couldn't place his finger on why the alpha is angry at him. And moreover why he is acting like he actually care for Jimin.
