Chapter 69

"Lee Kangdae..."

Namjoon, Jeongguk and Taehyung has never seen the said man before.

But the name strikes in their mind, connecting dotes. The stories they heard, it all came back to them.

Taehyung remembered how Jimin told him the things this man did to him. He remembered how he hugged him when Jimin recollected how this man killed his parents before him.

Namjoon however thought of his parents and Yoongi. This beta helped Jihoon to ruin their lives. Killed his mother, father and Minji. Broke his brother and tored his family apart.

Jeongguk hated that Kangdae was sitting there. It was his pack's place. But now it was tainted by a man who butchered them. He killed his pack and his mother. Blood boiled inside him and he looked away. He could no longer hold his anger but for their sake he had to do it.

"You..." Yoongi muttered. "I never thought council gave places for murderers."

His words made a ripple of shock through the elders. They all watched group glaring at the beta with pure hatred in their eyes.

"Serious accusations they are Min." Said one elder frowning. "You know better to not to frame someone innocent in the walls of sacred thirteen. "

"Innocent." Yoongi chuckled humorlessly. "Power blinds people. And you all are blinded."

"You can't create baseless accusations without proof Min." Elder Dong said in a calm tone. He couldn't address Yoongi  by his name in here. He wanted to keep the alpha at bay or this could affect their judgement.

He gave a pointed look at Namjoon who blood linked his brother.

'Not now hyung...we will have our time...'

Yoongi scoffed and looked away obeying Namjoon's words.

The council waited for a moment to make sure no one will intervene and then proceeded their meeting.

"We gathered to investigate on the charges against Bangtan Pack for harboring a true blood alpha and a moonchild without informing the council." The elder who sat in the middle said.

"You can proceed with your justifications Kim." Another man said. Namjoon took a deep breathe before stepping forward.

"We are not harboring anyone in our pack." Namjoon said. "Jeongguk and Jimin are mates of my brothers Taehyung and Yoongi. They are here at their own will."

"But you haven't informed the council about this." The elder pressed. "A moonchild Kim, you hid a moonchild."

"Correct me if I am wrong Elder Hyun, there isn't a law between us that says its our obligation to report the presence of a moonchild in our pack." Namjoon said with a stern voice.

A silence fell over the dias and there were few scowls. Namjoon was right. What they demanding is something he isn't obligated to give.

"Or is there?"

They didn't have an answer for that. For them it was their ego to be someone who knows everything.

"But moonchild being rare." Namjoon turned towards the source of the sound. It was Kangdae.

The beta still had a smirk on his lips. "And powerful. " He looked at Jimin tilting his head sideways. "Isn't a noble thing to inform the realm of their presence?"

Namjoon never loses his temper. But the more this beta talked the more angrier he was becoming.

"I think there is an unwritten law that every pack leader is obliged to inform the co packs about the dangers that could happen to them." Kangdae said.
