Chapter 76

Taehyung's words were really pushed to back of his mind during the whole day. But a twinge of something crawled through Jimin's insides as he watched Donghyuck talking with Yoongi a few distance from their shared cabin.

Later that day, the other omegas dragged Jimin to meet their eldest member of their pack, an old omega, who wished to see him. She was old and frail and apologized for bothering him at this hour. Jimin could understand her curiosity to get to know a moonchild in flesh, though he would prefer the spotlight miles away from him. When he returned after politely indulging with and other omega's queries it was already late. Almost everyone of the pack have retreated to their respective cabins, set aside the ones assigned of patrol duties. 

Jimin made his way towards the guest cabins. Taehyung and Jeongguk had already slept early claiming to be too tired after today's activities which Jimin found really hard to believe. But he was wise to not to ask further choosing to keep his ears holy. Taehyung tell him enough about his escapades that sometimes Jimin had to stop him so that next time he see Jeongguk he won't think of Taehyung's dreamy sigh and the explanations followed.

His and Yoongi's were next to theirs and Jimin was so ready to cuddle to sleep with the alpha. Just as he approached closer he could get Yoongi's scent far off from the distance and saw him standing with Donghyuck near the trees.

A frown graced his features thinking what could possibly the other omega had to say to Yoongi late at this time. Normally Jimin wouldn't care. But knowing about Donghyuck's affection towards Yoongi he felt his wolf restless at the thought of his mate could be in another unmated omega's presence who wanted him. 

Jimin's inner voice that was probably the wolf and his brain battled against each other. He couldn't believe he was thinking of eavesdropping their conversation. That was not right. But in the end he found himself walking towards them, tiptoeing without letting them know of his presence.

"...its already getting late Donghyuck..." He heard Yoongi sighing in a tired voice. "You should leave."

"What did you see him in Yoongi?" The other omega exasperatedly cried ignoring Yoongi's words. "What do you mean?" Jimin could feel the bitterness in Yoongi's words.

"Like Jimin." Donghyuck near shrieked making a point that he didn't understand. "I have been pursuing you for years. For years Yoongi. And you barely acknowledged my presence. I can live with that. But now I see you with an omega who claims to be your mate?"

An almost growl left Jimin's lips. He was furious. How dare that omega! He wasn't claiming to be Yoongi's mate. He is HIS mate.

"Because he is my mate." Yoongi almost shouted, quite tired. "He is not claiming to be my mate Donghyuck. He is my mate."

Jimin can't help but smirk victoriously at that. He groaned at the thought that he was enjoying Yoongi telling Donghyuck off. 

"It isn't you." Donghyuck said. "You hated the mate bond. You...You said to me you don't want a destined mate. You said to me you will reject your second chance. You said to me you don't believe that a person can be predestined for another. Don't tell me all of that changed as soon as you saw him."

This was getting ridiculous. Donghyuck is getting ahead of himself. Jimin hated the fact that people think so little of sacred mate bonds. The thing of one person being predestined is indeed scary but these pairs are near to perfection. Though no one talks bad about people who walk off from sacred mate bonds it is still significant.

"Hearing all of that...I thought that some day you...you could see how much I cared." Donghyuck's voice become little. If it was any other situation Jimin could feel bad for the omega. But somehow now he didn't. Unrequited or whatever Donghyuck was a bitch towards him from the beginning. 

"Let me make it clear for you." Yoongi sighed. "I love Jimin. Not just because he is my destined mate. When we first met...I was exactly how you said I was before. I didn't believe all of the mate bond and him not feeling our connection I thought it would be easier for me to let go. But then I got to know Jimin, the real Jimin, and I fell in love."

"Maybe it was the bond that brought me to him but I can say it is definitely not that made me stay." Yoongi said. "It is him. All of it. All the things he did. Mate bond was just a push."

Jimin felt tears in his eyes as he listened. No matter how many times he hear Yoongi saying 'I love you' it felt like it was the first time over and over again. Each moment with Yoongi, Jimin is finding hundred more reasons to love him.

but this confession, standing here Jimin felt wrong of hearing that. He ignored the whining of his wolf to stay there (to make sure Donghyuck would jump on Yoongi and mate him, his wolf is irrational) Jimin left, creeping silently towards the cabin, not bothering to listen much further.

Inside the comforts of the blanket he laid reflecting Yoongi's words. Their journey was eventful and Jimin know it will be more in coming days. He can't remember when he began liking Yoongi. Before everything went downhill leading to his departure from Bangtan, he liked Yoongi. All those words hurt him because he liked Yoongi. Yoongi regained his confidence after he came back. Yoongi loved him. Everyday Yoongi tried repent all those mistakes. Though Jimin forgive him for all of that sometimes he could still see his mate beating himself for that.

He didn't noticed another person slipping next to him under the blankets.

"You heard all of that." Yoongi murmured placing his face in Jimin's neck.

"You knew I was there." Jimin asked.

"Only after you left." Yoongi said. "On my way back here I got your scent lingering behind those trees. Figured out."

"I am sorry." Jimin said hugging the alpha and burying his head in his chest. "I shouldn't eavesdropped you."

"Its alright." Yoongi said combing his hair. Jimin snuggled closer to his chest. "How much did you heard?"

"Not much." Jimin said. "After your love confession I left."

"Why? Where you shy?" He laughed huskily.

"I love you Yoongi." Jimin said lifting his face and looking at the alpha in eyes. "I love you so much, much more than I can explain. I hope you know that."

Yoongi smiled warmly and pressed a lingering kiss on Jimin's lips. "I know."

They both blissfully shared kisses for a long time, embracing the warmth in each other's arms.

"What did you tell him after?" Jimin asked lazily. "Donghyuck."

"Not much." Yoongi shook his head. "Enough for him to start moving on."

"Good." Jimin pecked him. "Cause you are mine, all of you belongs to me."

Their departure the very next morning went through without further complications. Donghyuck still was glaring at Jimin as they exchanged their pleasantries and Jimin don't know what took over him to have a mini makeout session with Yoongi at that moment in front of the other omega. It was petty. But he felt satisfaction as he pulled away and saw Donghyuck giving him death glare and stomped off from there.

The five wolves shifted to their wolf selves and left together to their final destination in this stretch. Namjoon's plans extended to this last pack and the rest is something Jimin persumed as next phase. He was happy that he will get to go back to Bangtan after this but that didn't made this one a simple visit.

To his displeasure it was Elder Eunjae's pack. Jimin didn't know how it will all turn out.
