Chapter 15

Everything was a blur for Taehyung. He didn't notice as his brothers shifted back to human and reached him. He didn't feel their arms but he remembers resisting when they try to get him way from the unconscious red wolf, his mate.

His mate.

Among the countless scenarios Taehyung came up in his mind, he never dreamt of meeting his mate like this. Never thought of him dying in his arms. That thought enough had sent him crazy. His mate is already dead before he can meet him. What did he do to have a fate like this?

"Tae...Get up..." He heard Namjoon saying Taehyung shook his head. 'No..."

"Tae...You have to get up. We have to get him to Yerin."Namjoon said trying to coax his brother out of holding the injured wolf. Namjoon could feel that the latter was still alive. But Taehyung was too shocked to respond.

"NO" He shouted and Namjoon was taken aback by the flash of blue in his brother's eyes. "No. I won't." he said like a maniac, still holding the wolf's head in his.

Taehyung didn't noticed Namjoon sighing in defeat. He slowly brushes the wolf's face. He didn't cry. He was in a trance. Too shocked.

"Taehyungie..." He heard Yoongi's voice. His brother rarely speak in that tone. "Taehyungie..."That brought him back to his senses. And Taehyung felt the reality crushing on him.

"Hyung...he's...he's gone." Finally he burst into tears, holding his mate's body. He felt Yoongi wrapping his hands around him. "Hyung...I d-didn't e-even get to m-meet hi-him." He sobbed.

"Taehyung...Tae look at me." Yoongi said. Taehyung saw his brother who seemed to understand his pain. "Taehyung, you have to get up. We can get him to Yerin."

"But hyung..." Taehyung began. "Tae." Yoongi said sternly. "You can still feel him through your mate bond. He's alive Taehyung. Feel him." Yoongi said and Taehyung nodded. He let go of his mate's head and moved into Yoongi's embrace who lifted him up easily. Namjoon lifted the red wolf and began to walk faster towards the pack. In Yoongi's embrace falling unconscious because of being exhausted Taehyung could feel the weak link of mate bond.

Yoongi was furious. Furious at himself for not being there for his brother. Guilt and anger was eating him up ever since he carried Taehyung back to their pack.

But now his anger was not only towards himself, but on Namjoon who was now standing peacefully next to him after dragging him outside of the infirmary.

"How could you leave him there alone, unprotected?" Yoongi spat at his brother who looked tired to argue with him. Taehyung had woken up five minutes ago and immediately asked to be next to the injured red wolf who apparently was his mate. Yoongi was about oppose the idea but Namjoon stepped in and not only Taehyung was now with the unknown alpha but he was alone in there.

"He is with his mate, hyung." Namjoon said calmly. "Mate! That is your argument. He's with an unknown alpha who could easily kill him even in this condition. Don't tell me you didn't notice that kid's strength Joon."

Namjoon shook his head. "I know hyung."

"Apparently you don't." Yoongi shot back. "That alpha took two alphas and two betas on his own and still tried to resort his dominance by fighting with us. He's no ordinary alpha."

"I figure that part already." Namjoon said still calmly. "Yet you left your brother with him."Yoongi growled.

"He won't hurt Taehyung." Namjoon said with confidence. "I know he won't."

"Don't tell me you are referring to that bullshit mate bond. You know it is not the same in every case. What if..."Yoongi said.

"Don't see everything with your prejudiced eyes hyung."Namjoon said trying to calm his nerves. "Don't try to say you are not prejudiced when we both damn well know you are. Not everything is what you think it is." Yoongi huffed.

"I trust that alpha and mate bond that Taehyung said they have. I have seen with my own eyes that my brother being protected by that alpha. I don't doubt him."Namjoon said. "I wasn't like this." Yoongi shouted. "You know damn well that it wasn't like this. You know why I don't believe that fucked up mate bond theory. It is all but a trap. Dangerous trap."

Namjoon wanted to say something back but Yerin cut him. He didn't notice the presence of the beta before. "The alpha, he's awake."

When Yoongi heard that the red alpha was awake he was expecting to come across a red wolf who managed to gain his consciousness. But in turn what he saw was a boy, no older than seventeen maybe sitting on the bed with his back against the headboard.

How could he shift? Yoongi was amazed by this. The alpha was nearly dead when they brought him here. Even with wolf's heightened healing power and alphas having much more faster rater it was impossible to heal this fast and shift back to human. This kid, he was no normal werewolf. Yoongi figured out that much.

He tried to suppress a growl in his throat when he saw his brother pressed up against the boy, falling asleep in his embrace. The boy had a fond expression on his face as he slowly kneaded through the blond locks of the sleeping omega who looked contented to be in that position.

Stupid mate bond.

The boy however looked too young. He had dark black hair that almost reached his shoulders. He was well built but his face looked too child like. Yoongi heard him growl slightly at the sight of two alphas who entered the room. He closed his eyes shut like he was trying to control his wolf who feel threatened at the closeness of alphas near his mate.

"Relax." He heard Namjoon say. "We are not a threat."

The kid nodded but brought Taehyung closer to himself. Yoongi could tell that his wolf was having a hard time battling with his instincts.

"How are you now?" Namjoon asked. Yoongi crossed his arms putting his guards up just in case. The body nodded not speaking anything. "Are you dumb?"Yoongi growled. The boy's eyes flashed red in anger and Yoongi felt his wolf also coming out to restore the dominance. The room reeked alpha pheromones one trying to overpower the other.

Taehyung stirred in his sleep. "Ggukie..." Yoongi watched the alpha breaking the intense staring and smiled down at the Omega who blushed as he tucked his stray blond hair. The boy resembled a bunny in his smile all his previous alpha dominance gone.

Namjoon cleared his throat trying to get the attention of the newly founded mates and that's when Taehyung noticed the presence of his brother's in the room.

Finally. Yoongi thought.

"I have a few questions to answer and then I'll leave you both on you own." Namjoon chuckled. Yoongi was surprised by his brother's calmness for the situation in their hand.

There was a fucking unknown alpha that is way powerful than them both sitting with his own little brother in his lap. How can he be calm by all of this? Yoongi couldn't.

"Can you tell us your name?" Namjoon asked.

"Tell them Ggukie..." Taehyung nudges his arm. "They are my hyungs. It is alright."

The boy looked at them, still hesitation etched across his face. "I'm Jeon Jeongguk."

Namjoon nodded. "Well then Jeongguk, you are in Bangtan Pack and I am the head alpha. Kim Namjoon, Taehyung's brother."

"This is" Namjoon said pointing at scowling Yoongi. "Is Min Yoongi, the head of defense, our elder brother." Yoongi didn't lower his dominance as Jeongguk looked at him, the latter doing the same. "So which pack are you from?" Namjoon asked to stop the staring contest between the alphas.

Yoongi watched Jeongguk's face turning to solemn and Taehyung could sense the change in his mood. Taehyung snuggled close to him, whispering 'it is okay.'

"Do you have a pack or are you a..." Namjoon didn't get to finish before Jeongguk quickly said. "I do. Or I used to do." The last words were a mere whisper but they could get it. The next words he said was shocking to both of them.

"I am from Selene Pack."

The next chapter will be a filler and the plot will turn maybe within five chapters. There is a clear reason behind Yoongi's hate for mate bonds and Jeongguk and his pack will play a good role in coming plot.
