Chapter 35

Night was quick to arrive. Taemin's flat was small but comfortable. The vampire gave a quick tour and lended his clothes to the omega. Jimin found himself in the balcony staring at the buzzing city life after a shower.

He now had a lot to figure out. What he should do? After all he can't always rely on the vampire.

"Isn't it beautiful?" He was startled at the sound and saw Taemin in his loose shirt and sweat pants leaning against the wall. "It is." Jimin whispered.

"I have ordered us food." He said plopping down next to the other.

"You have done so much for me." Jimin mumbled looking at his hands on his lap. "I have nothing to give back to you."

"Thank you. If it wasn't..."

"Don't start." Taemin nudged him. "We are here now and that's what it matters."

"Now we have to think what you will do next." He said. "Do you have any plans?"

"I don't know." Jimin said. "I want to get a job. That's the beginning I guess."

"We can go through that tomorrow." The vampire hummed agreeing to the idea. "I think there is an opening in the café."

They sat like that for a while. "I need to thank you too." Taemin said with a small smile on his handsome face. "It was you who convinced Arin to give me a chance."

"They didn't know you really." Jimin had a soft look on his face. "I just become a way to show them that."

"I can't blame them. They was against my entry only because Bangtan hated vampires." Jimin slightly flinched at the name. "No matter how much I think I don't get them. I mean there was a bad blood between vampires and wolves but after the treaty no one crossed the borders to mess up."

"They did." Jimin said not looking at his companion. "Some of the vampires did cross the borders."

"What?" Taemin asked frowning. "W-when?" Taemin didn't know it. Maybe vampires didn't know some of them broke the law.

"Five years ago." Jimin knew the story. "And they have a solid reason for hating your kind."

Taemin was curious now. Jimin could tell. But asking the omega, the vampire knew he might cross the undefined borders. "Can I ask what they did?" He said in a small voice, hesitant about his question.

"One of them killed the pack's head alpha." Jimin said gravely now looking at the tall building before their apartment. "He killed their Luna right before her son's eyes. He killed their head beta's mate."

Jimin was instantly alerted as he heard deep breaths coming from his side. He saw the vampire closing his eyes trying to focus on his breath. He was having a panic attack. Jimin got into his knees and pulled the vampire to his chest quickly trying to comfort him.

"Taemin, Taemin, please listened to my words." He said drawing circles in his back comforting him. "Take a deep breath with me. Listen to me."

Jimin was now worried. Guilt eating him up as he thought maybe it was because of him the vampire had this. They sat there like for a while Taemin slowly regained his sense.

"Are you okay?" Jimin asked with tear filled eyes. "Yeah." Taemin nodded slightly. "I'm sorry you had to see that.

"No I'm sorry." Jimin said. 'I should've never said that. Never like that."

"It's not your fault. You didn't know I was fucked up." The vampire tried to joke.

Jimin just looked into the red iris of other with a heavy emotion. The doorbell broke their staring contest. "That might be the food."
