As the smile fell from your face,
I fell with it
Our faces blue.

— Troye Sivan, Lost Boy

. . . .

"Your dad texted you," Harry hands me my phone once I step out of the shower, wrapping a big crimson towel around my shivering body. I turn off the music I had playing and set my phone aside to brush my teeth while Harry shaves the dark stubble growing on his face.

"He wants me to come over for dinner," I apply the face mask Harry bought me online last week.

"What time do you want to leave?" he asks.

"It doesn't matter. Maybe 5:30? If that's okay with you."

"That's fine," he glances at me in the mirror and furrows his eyebrows at me, "It looks like you slathered honey all over your face."

"You bought it." I put it back in its spot beside his hair gel on the counter. "Can I put it on you, please?"

I have to give him my best pleading eyes look to get him to comply. I scoop a glob of the thick mask into my hands and apply it around his cheeks, forehead, and his nose.

"How long do I have to leave it on?"

"Only a couple of minutes." I rinse my hands off and get dressed in some warm clothes.

Without him knowing, I take a few pictures of his face with the mask covering the entirety of his pasty skin. I help him take off the mask and he stares into the mirror with a dumbfounded expression on his face as he feels his baby soft skin.

"Holy shit. That's amazing."

"Thank you for it, by the way." I wrap my arms around him and squeeze his thin waist.

"Anything for you, baby." He pecks my cheek then smacks my ass on his way out of the bathroom. I lie down on the bed with Lilly while she watches TV. "Now get dressed, you two. I'm taking you girls out on a date."

. . . .

We drove an hour or so to another town with different shopping outlets and restaurants. There was a wide range of variety to clothing shops, makeup boutiques, and book stores. After we lugged the bags back to the car, we walked a couple stores down to a large toy shop. Lilly's eyes lit up like a Christmas tree when she saw the bright pink Barbie aisle. Harry ended up coaxing her out of the store by buying her a new doll.

Afterwards, Harry took us out to a lovely lunch five minutes from the shopping outlets. We were trying to find a restaurant that Harry raved about the entire ride up, but we missed an exit or something and ended up in a different town. The food was delicious but the bill was not so enjoyable. Harry refused to let me see it and ensured me that he had it handled. He slid his card in the leather envelope like the outrageous cost didn't affect him at all. We took our to-go boxes to the car and drove back home.

I sigh when he finally pulls into my dad's driveway back in town. He parks the car and turns to me in his seat.

"Thank you for today. I really appreciate it." I rub my thumb over his and squeeze his hand gently.

"Anything for you. I love you."

He leans over the center console and kisses my lips softly.

I give him my love and affection then collect some of my stuff and exit the car. The climb up the steep steps takes a lot of energy out of me.

My dad answers the door and I quickly rush past him to set the bags down that contain the heavy books and other essentials Harry bought for me. "Are the movers outside to bring the rest of the store with you?"
