She's an angel
My only angel

– Harry Styles, Only Angel

. . . .

I've been at my job for about a month now. Within a few days of starting, I had slowly gotten accustomed to the placement of where things should go as well as the proper techniques to be a helpful employee.

Getting to know the workers became a breeze. Everyone I had met seemed pretty welcoming aside from a few, but I just don't talk to them. I had gone out a few times with some of the girls and it felt exhilarating to be with friends that didn't want to put me in the hospital and flirt with my boyfriend. We had gone shopping, went to dinner after work, and talked for hours.

After about a week, Harry had finally given in and found a part-time job at the local bookstore. It's not much, but it's a job. On the even larger downside, he hates it. He has unreasonable hours, the boss acts as if Harry doesn't even exist—which infuriates him to no end, and he spends his day dealing with rude-witted customers.

I can clearly see how much he wants to teach again.

On the other hand, Harry and I had been organizing a date night for several nights. Something would always come up and we'd have to cancel. The other night we had to call it off several hours before we planned to leave because of a thunderstorm. Then we had to cancel last night because María called to say that her car broke down an hour away. Basically, our luck for a normal date night had gone to shit, but as of now, our plans for tonight are still on.

We decided to go out to dinner, see a movie, then come home and maybe have sex. Or, if Harry's lucky, we won't even have to make it home to start that part of the date.

We decided to keep the date pretty casual. We planned to have him pick me up from work and I'd wear what I worked in. He walks into the store wearing a black t-shirt and jeans.

"Ready to go?" He walks up to the counter where Kat and Amelia are standing beside me sorting the clothes hangers.

"Yeah. I need to grab my purse from the back." I disappear back to retrieve my bag and when I come back, Harry's leaning against the counter talking to Amelia and Kat.

"I'm ready."

Harry takes my hand and pulls me around towards the back of the store where the lingerie is. He points to a nude bra with a cream coloured lacing around the cups.

"You'd look pretty in that."

"Or I could just not have a bra on."

"I like that," he kisses my cheek, "and it's free."

I pull him away from the store so we can walk down to the exit of the shopping center. The car is parked a little way down and once we get to it, he opens my door for me and squeezes my butt before I sit down.

"So, where do you want to eat?" He asks as we wait at a red light, the glow of taillights surrounding us.

"I'm in the mood for Chinese."

"Alright."

We go to a little Chinese place, the inside being as small as it is on the outside, order and then sit in a booth to wait for our food. There are only about seven other people in the restaurant and the atmosphere is pretty quiet.

"How was work?" I ask him even though I already know his answer.

"Shitty," he shrugs and scratches his head. "How was your day?"

"It went pretty well. The boss brought in doughnuts this morning," I tell him. "That reminds me. I got you something."

"You didn't need to get me anything."
