When I woke up, I saw that I wasn't back home. I started to panic but then I remembered that was at the Lightstingers' compound. I looked around the room, it had very light baby blue walls. The bed was king sized with navy bed sheets. A small rug under the bed and white floor tiles. Beside the big blue wardrobe were two blue cushions with a small tea table in the middle. The big windows at the end of the room shined with sunlight, indicating that it was morning. The chandelier above me seemed to move but the chandelier can't move. It was firmly attached to the ceiling, wasn't it? Why do I feel the room vibrating? I was about to run but I remembered that I slept with these clothes. I needed to change the navy polo shirt and white jeans. I went to the wardrobe hoping there was clothes inside, and I was right.
I took out a baby blue hoodie written on it Light and black pants. I needed to take a shower, I was going to call up Jade as she left the same button on the tea table but then I saw oak black door. I opened it, it was the bathroom. I took a quick shower and changed my outfit. As soon as I stepped out of the bathroom, I found someone else in the room. "You should've knocked first Jade," I said. "I'm not Jade. I'm Amy. I believe your Alice," said Amy. "Yeah," I said suspiciously. "Oh, where are my manners? I'm your personal pixie," said Amy. "Aren't pixies supposed to be small?" I asked. "Yeah. But we can transform to human size. Would you like me to change to my original size?" asked Amy. "No, no. that's fine." "So what do you do, I mean like my personal pixie?" I asked. "Well, I can do pretty much anything except telling someone's secret and/or giving you potions," said Amy. "Wait! You make potions?" I asked. "Yeah, all kinds of potions I might add," said Amy. "Wait a second," I said as I heard the knock.
"Yes," I asked. "Open up," said Brian. "Can't you get in?" I asked. "I can't enter the room unless you open the door for me," said Brian. "Why?" I asked. "Because every room is enchanted that no one can enter it except its owner. You are its owner so I can't get in. And if I want to get in I have to have permission before to enter." "Oh, sorry." I said as I opened the door. "Thank you," smiled Brian. "I see you've met Amy," said Brian. "Yeah. She's really sweet," I said as I smiled at her. "Good that you changed because we're going for training," said Brian. "What?!" I exclaimed. "No, I am not going to training," I puffed. "Alice, you literally glowed yesterday. We need to work on your skills so that you're able to control it and to not happen like yesterday," said Brian. "Wait, you glowed yesterday?' asked Amy. "Yeah, it was really weird," I said. "Dear lights," said Amy as she fainted. Brian and I rushed to her.
"Amy? Amy! Can you hear me?" I asked. "Lights..." muttered Amy. "Shhh. Listen to what she's saying," whispered Brian. "Lights...Shadows... daughter...world...crumble..." continued Amy. "Is she okay? She's talking nonsense," I said. "When pixies faint they become a little hazy then come up back again. In their hazy state they tend to say the last thing on their mind before they fainted. So I guess, the last thing on her mind was something do with the Lights and the Shadows?" said Brian in a questioning voice. "Shadows? As in light shadow? Like in physics?" I asked. "No! They're creatures made to destroy us." "Ok, mental note, don't ever ask about any creature," I said as Brian chuckled. "So what do we do now?" I asked. "We wait for a few minutes. Usually they faint for about 1 to 3 minutes," said Brian. "Ok. I can wait. Of course I can wait. Who can't wait?!" I said. "ALICE! You're panicking. Breathe in and out," said Brian. I breathed in and out. Surprisingly, I calmed down. Then after a few seconds Amy stood up. "What happened?" asked Amy. "You fainted," I said. "Why?" asked Amy. "Because we said that Alice glowed yesterday," said Brian. "You glowed?!" exclaimed Amy. "No! Don't you dare faint again and... she fainted," I said.
After 2 minutes she woke up again. "Are you going to faint again?" I asked. "No," muttered Amy. "Can you tell us why you fainted?" asked Brian. Amy breathed in and out then said, "Back when your grandmother's mother was born and the Shadow king was ever created, a prophecy came out." She said then paused, remembering the moment. "Its lines go something like that, at dusk the pure will glow and the shadows will go. The Lights shall then fall to the one who claims the hall. The world will be dead as soon as they are in red. All at last in the final blast. Soon you'll know what it's like to be their foe. That's it," said Amy. "Wait is this prophecy about me?" I asked. "Well, you did say that you glowed yesterday. So I think it might be about you," said Amy. "I'm the one who's going to faint now," I said as I fainted. I felt strong hands grabbing me, I knew it was Brain's.
"Argh," I grunted. "Are you okay?" asked Brian. "I think so," I said as I opened my eyes. I never saw Brian that concerned. His beautiful curly hair were messier, his perfect eyes were puffy and red. "How much was I out?" I asked. "The whole day," answered Brian. "God! You can go sleep now Brian." "You're in my room," said Brian. "Sorry, I'm going," I said as I tried to stand up but miserably fell. "No you're not. Here, let me help you," said Brian as he helped me to the bed. "Alice. If that prophecy is about you. You need to train. The Grandball is coming up in a few weeks. The Lights will be there, if you really are a pulight then you need to train," said Brian. "I can just tell them that I glowed. Won't that be enough?" I said as Brian laughed. "You think it's that easy? The Lights are the most stubborn creatures this world have seen. They won't believe you until they have proof," said Brian.
"Ok! I'll train," I said. "Good. Now go to sleep because tomorrow is you first day," said Brian. "Where are you going to sleep?" I asked. "On the couch," said Brian as he pointed to a white leathered couch. "Wait, before you sleep." "What?" asked Brian? "Today at I think at 8 something. The room was vibrating," I said. "Yeah, we start our day at 8 am. The room always does this vibrating thing to wake you up," said Brian. "Now, is there anything else you'd like to know? If no, then I am off to sleep," said Brian. "No, goodnight," I waved to him. "Yeah, yeah." "Brian. Wait," I said. "What is it?" shouted Brian. "I can't sleep," I muttered. "There's a kitchen on the ground floor. You can go to the playfield if you want," said Brian. "Ok. Goodnight," I said as I went down to the kitchen. Cooking was my hobby, I remember the times I'd use to cook with mum. When her hair would be smudged with chocolate and she would scold me for stealing some of the dough to make my own little cookies. God, I miss her so much. I don't think she's a Light. I don't feel it in my gut. "I miss you," I sighed.
I made myself a sandwich and went tothe playfield. It had a glass ceiling so you could see the amazing night sky. Isat on a bench and ate my sandwich in total silence. I watched as the starsmove then I started to feel my heavy eyelids closing. I didn't mind taking alittle nap. I slept for what feels like seconds, I woke up to find myself atBrian's room again. Wait, I was just at the playfield how did I come here? Ilooked outside the window, it was morning. What?! I got out of bed and lookedat the clock it was 7:53, good. I still have time to take a shower and changemy clothes. And that's what I exactly did. I found black sweatpants and anoversized white shirt. I'm ready for training. Bring the heat on!
